What Are Their Secrets?

Chapter Twenty-Six:

Reinhardt's Residence

"What did you learn?" I asked as soon as Maury came back.

"Lady Shu Tokino stayed at home, even after Haimon left their house."

Then, she's alone right now. "I think I will visit her myself." I said as I stand up. "Let's go, Mau!" I excitedly said.

"You're too excited."

"Oh, Wafi!" I said and wave at him. "Do you want to come? And meet the reincarnation of Lady Siara?"

"That's tempting but I have something to do so, I pass for now." he answered.

"Well, you'll meet her soon." I spoke. "For now, I'll visit her alone myself."

"Alright, good luck."

"Thanks!" I said before we left.

Present…

Café Shop

I don't know what to answer but he was right because I already knew my husband is mysterious in many ways. But then, what does he mean?

"Your curious right?" he suddenly speak that caught me.

"Huh!"

"It seems you were surprised." he said. "Anyway, that's normal. If I'm in your shoes I'll be surprised too. Knowing that my lover had many secrets that he or she couldn't share to us, it is really a big mystery."

I really don't know why did he suddenly open up about the secret of my husband? Or perhaps… "Uhm, do you know my husband's secret?" I curiously asked him.

"Well," he looks at me with those mysterious eyes and seeing it I remember my husband's eyes since they look the same. "That secret, I think it is much better if you ask him straight because I don't have the right to tell you about it."

So, he knew something! "You…" I don't know what I should say knowing he knew something.

"I do have my own secret." He suddenly said that surprised me.

"What?!"

Kanik smiled at me. "You wonder what is it, right?" he asked then lean his body at the chair. "If I tell, will you believe?" this time he seriously asked me.

What does he mean? "…" I cannot even utter a word.

"Speechless." He said after I stay in silence. "But I couldn't blame you it is something that will change your mind set that is why I cannot just tell you about it."

"What do you mean? What secret are you hiding?"

"The same secret your husband had."

"What!" my eyes widen in surprise. "What are you--"

"Don't be surprised," he suddenly cuts me off. "We were comrades not only in business but also in secret. And that secret means a lot to you." I look at him puzzled from what he just said. "Puzzled right? But everything will be clear once you regain your memories."

Silence.

"Wh-what did you just s-said?"

Kanik takes a sip from his mug before he answered. "If you wanted to regain your memories, the secrets that your husband and I hiding will be reveal once you agree to regain your memories." He said before he stands up. "And here's my card," he handed it down at the table. "You're free to call me if your husband won't cooperate if he won't tell you the truth."

"But--"

"Just call me!" he cuts me off again and left without letting me speak.

Yet, what he said left me hanging. What does he mean? Regain my memories? Have I ever lost my memories? Or… I don't know! This is more confusing than remembering my husband eyes. I really don't know what I should think now.

Del Gazini's Residence

At night…

"Love." I heard Haimon's voice but ever since I talk to Kanik, I suddenly begin to feel numb and suddenly I don't feel right. "Love?"

"Oh, I-I'm fine." I said as I stand up but then my body suddenly feel weak and I was about to fall but because Haimon was there he immediately catch me.

"Shu!" he holds me. "You don't look fine. I think we should--"

"No!" I strongly decline him because I already knew he wanted to take me to the hospital. "I'll just take a rest, that's all I need."

"But you look frailer than I left you earlier." He said and I could feel the intensity of his concern.

I smiled. "Really. I'm fine. Just help me to go to bed, okay?"

He looks at me longer enough to make me feel a bit anxious but then he heavily sighs. "Alright," he said. "Let me carry you." He said and lifted me up through his arms and went straight to our room.

In silence, I let myself envelop with his warm embrace and let my questions set aside until I'm ready to ask him formally.

After a while…

I silently look at my wife while she falls asleep. I don't know but there is something wrong with Shu Tokino but still I don't know what it is. It makes me worry but I cannot ask her what is going on. I just can't.

"Mond," I called him as soon as I came out to our room, leaving Shu Tokino asleep in our bed. "What happened to her?"

"She went out this afternoon and just walks around the park."

"Really, that's all?"

"Yes." He answered but why do I feel that there is something wrong.

I don't know but I'm so sure there's something wrong, there's something missing but I couldn't understand what it is.

Reinhardt's Residence

"Thanks for the help, Medea." I said as soon as we came home. "Without your power, I won't be able to talk to Lady Shu alone without his guardian."

Medea casted a spell to sealed our presence and when I talk to Shu Tokino, we already been sealed that is why the guardian that guarding her didn't even knew we went to a coffee shop.

"So, what should we do now?"

"Wait." I answered. "That is the only thing we need to do."

"How sure you are that she will come to us?" she seriously asked.

"I am so sure she will. Since that her husband will not tell anything soon, she will come to us instead."
