Chapter Forty-Four:

Reinhardt's Residence

"You've came home earlier again?" I said as soon as my older brother came and by the looks of it, he never saw the king's daughter again. "So, you never saw the elusive princess again, right?"

My brother stared at me sharply. "Don't ever mention that issue again!" he madly stated and I already knew Kieran was madly angry this time.

Kierna Reinhardt my brother, second to the throne once King Harkan will be gone, and as the second to the throne he is the immediate partner of the King's daughter. Because from the very beginning when the gender of the King's child was known, if it is a woman then the next on the throne will be the child's husband. The reason of it is to continue the bloodlines of the royal blood of the Manu Clan because of the curse that our clan has, the curse to never ever conceive in a natural way. We can only get the chance to create our own flesh and blood by the original blood that only runs from the chosen ones, and we are one of those lucky chosen. The blood that runs to us came from the first Manu King. And only seven families were uniquely chosen by the previous king and we are one of them.

"Alright," I answered and sighed deeply. "So, what are you going to do now?"

"I already had a plan." He simply answered that I just shrug before he went to his room.

"Wait, Iman." I stopped my brother's right hand.

He stops and he quickly answered. "I have no intention of telling you what your brother's plan is. So, you have nothing to expect from me."

"Ow! You have an immediate answer to what I just going to ask."

"Of course, I already know you. So, please don't interfere anymore to your brother's affairs."

I sigh. "Alright, I won't but can I at least meet her?" Because King Harkan's only daughter was never introduced to the public, for a reason was, because of his daughter his wife sacrificed her life only for their only child that cause the king to resent his only child never let her go out of the public. That I doubt ever since I found out that lame reason, as if there is something greater reason why his only child hidden from the public eye. "So, what can you say if I meet her?"

"If your brother still doesn't know and sees the princess, will you be able to meet or see her? I don't think you can."

I laugh as I scratch my head because Iman was right, if my brother couldn't even meet or see the princess then it will be the same for me.

"Well, you were right! Anyway, you may go now."

Iman shakes his head. "It looks like you just became even more curious to get to know her." he suddenly said and I couldn't deny what he said because that was the truth, I became even more curious to get to know the princess.

The next day…

Del Gazini's Residence

"Haimon!" Redmond immediately stops me before I can go. "Will you meet her again, right?"

I smile. "Yes, I will."

"But I cannot let you go."

"And why is that?"

"Because that is your Uncle's order," he answered that I sigh.

"And why do I have to obey his command?"

"Because until now you still don't know who the woman, you're meeting is." He spoke.

"So what? There's nothing wrong if I still meet her even though I don't know who she is besides, she doesn't know me either so we're just fair. Enough for me to meet her anytime I want too." I happily answered that Redmond takes a very deep breath that I just answered with a smile. "So, can you let me go now?" I politely asked.

"Haist! Your Uncle will get mad at me when I let you go."

"Then come with me," I suggested.

"As if they will let me in. because as far as I remember, I was left alone into the woods sleeping under a tree, not knowing you two already met."

I sigh and he was right, they left him outside asleep until they got me out and it took him two days in sleep before I came back. I feel guilty but what can I do if the Nymph guarding that place didn't allow him to come in.

"Alright, I'll talk to her and ask for permission for you to come with me."

"No need, just don't go today." he firmly answered and the looks of it he won't let me go even if I force myself so in the end all I can do is to surrender and let this day pass for now.

Deep into the Mountains

"Are going to stay here today again?" Melite asked and I just give her my sweet smile. "Not again!"

"Come on! I have nowhere to run."

"Then, how long will you hide from that man? As far as I can remember, you are destined to be together even if you don't want to or you're against it. So, why do you need to hide from him? Why don't you try to meet him even once?"

"It is because I know what kind he is and for that reason, I don't want to meet him not even once. That is why I will stay here as much as I want."

Melite shakes her head. "Then, how about your father? What was his comment about hiding from that man?"

"Nothing much." I honestly answered because my father won't force me to do the things that I don't like, that is why I don't have any problems with my father. "He said he didn't want to force me on a man I really didn't like so he let me decide. Then even if I can't marry him, he will still be next to the throne because only men have the right to sit on the throne."
