Chapter Fifty-One:
"I want to marry you." He straightly answered that made me speechless.
Hours Ago…
"Liraz," Amy called me. "Are you done?"
"Yes, I'm already done." I answered.
"Good, let's go and have lunch."
I nodded and quickly clean up the table where I arranged the flower while Amy inform the others that we will get our lunch break.
At the Break Room
"Where do you want to order a food?" Amy immediately asked me after we enter the break room.
"Sorry, I will eat outside." I answered.
Amy's eyes shrink. "You are already suspicious."
"What are you talking about?"
"You already ask for a week break and now you're going to eat out? It is really suspicious. Don't tell me you're…" she paused.
"What?"
"Do you already have a boyfriend?"
Oh, I could not answer what she said. "… Uhm…" I just said and shrug off.
"Oh, no! You mean you do have, right?" I shyly smile. "That's good news! So, who is this lucky guy? Don't tell me it was 'Kanik' that you mention earlier?"
"Of course not!" I quickly answered. "Not him."
"Fine, your answer is so quick it seems like you just don't like that man."
"Well, I will not lie to you, I don't really like him." I honestly answered.
"You are too honest. But anyway, who is this lucky guy you are talking about? Seriously, who is he?" she curiously and eagerly asked.
Café Mago
I smiled when I saw Haimon waiting for me. He sits near the garden of the restaurant where we always go to eat whenever we are in downtown. Though this day is different, since I went back to work, we won't be able to go for a walk and the only thing we can do is eat here.
I heavily sigh in frustration but I couldn't do anything about it because this is what I choose before I met him. For now, all I need to do is balance my time with him until I decide what to do next.
He waves at me when he finally noticed me and I wave back as I walk towards him with a smile that will melt his heart.
"Sorry, did you wait long?" I asked as I came closer.
"No. I just arrived too." he replied and stand up to guide me to my sit.
"Thanks." I said and smiled.
"So," he sits. "What do you want to eat?"
Afterwards…
"I was happy and you still had time to meet me," I happily said after we ate and now, we are eating our dessert.
Siara smiled before she answered. "Of course! I will always have time for you."
"I'm glad to hear that." I said though I would have liked to ask her what she needed to take care of that day because we couldn't take a walk after we ate. But I just chose not to investigate her anymore because I also don't want to interfere too much in her private life.
"Sorry, Haimon." She suddenly said out of the blue.
"What for?" I surprisingly asked her.
"Because we can no longer do what we casually do after this." she replied.
I smile. "No worries. I understand that you also had your own private life, the same as me, so you don't need to feel so sorry about it. Besides, I'm happy enough to have lunch with you."
She sighs before holding my hand that surprised me but I kept it to myself. "I promise! I'll make it up to you."
"Fine. I'll wait for that!" I gladly answered.
Reinhardt's Residence
"Mau, let's go out!"
"Where are we going?" he asked as he follows.
"In downtown."
"Will you go there to see Liraz?"
"Indeed."
"Why?" he curiously asked that stops my tracks.
"What do you mean why?"
"She's just a mere human so it's just weird that you're giving her special attention."
"Why? There's nothing wrong with me being friends with her, right?"
"There is. Because she didn't know you were a Vampire."
"Don't worry. She will also learn about it, soon."
"Don't tell me…"
"What you think… Is right! I plan to make her a Vampire whether she doesn't want it or if she wants then, that will be great."
Flower Shop
I feel so sad and guilty when I was about to go back to work because I would leave Haimon unaware of my other personality. But I don't have a choice but to leave him unknown of the truth. With a heavy sigh I ready myself to enter our shop.
"Hi, Amy!" I greeted her as soon as I saw her.
"Oh, hi!" she greeted back. "Finally, you came back!" she added.
"Why?"
"The 'Kanik' that you're saying is looking for you again."
"Again?"
"Indeed. And he doesn't seem to leave until he sees and talks to you." She seriously replied.
It looks like I can't do nothing more to avoid him again. "Fine, I'll go and meet him."
"Are you sure?"
"Why so serious?" I surprisingly asked her.
"It looks like you're just being forced to face him." she answered. "More reason for me to be curious to know how you two met."
I laugh and spoke. "You'll be insane enough to know about it! But anyway, I'll go ahead and meet him." I said and left her before she could answer.
Afterwards…
I decided to talk to Kanik outside our shop and chose a private place.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him directly.
"Why in a hurry?"
"Because, I still have work to take care of so if you don't mind just, please tell me what you want."
"Well…" he sighs before he continues. "I'll be frank with you."
"Fine, what is it?"
"I want to marry you." He straightly answered that made me speechless.
I don't know what to answer to what he said but I'm sure I don't want to marry him.
"I'm sorry but I can't accept that."
"No worries I don't need your approval. I just want you to know."
