"Fuck," Sophie said, her head throbbing with pain as she recollected her actions from the past night, her face turning a deep shade of red from embarrassment.
She had actually kissed him, she remembered, and cursed herself in her mind for her stupid actions. How could she have done something like that? She wasn't the type to act recklessly, and yet here she was, with nothing but shame to remember from the night before.
"Why are you so quiet? Okay, why don't you kiss me? Do you feel disgusted by my lips?" Her voice from the previous night echoed in her head, and she grimaced. "You know, I once heard that you felt disgusted by other people getting close to you. Do you feel disgusted by me?" she had asked, lips forming a pout, daring him to answer.
His reply had been simple, but it replayed in her head like a loop. "I feel disgusted by other people, but not you," he had said.
