Leo's eyes scanned the dimly lit streets of the vampire kingdom, his heart heavy with worry. Emily had been missing for hours, and despite the tireless efforts of his search party, there was no sign of her.
Suddenly, Leo's expression changed. A mischievous glint appeared in his eye, and he said, "I think we've searched enough for tonight. Let's call off the search party."
His guards exchanged skeptical glances, but Leo just chuckled. "I'm playing a game, my friends. Prince Karan thinks he's won, but he has no idea what's coming."
As Leo spoke, he felt a strange sensation. His bond with Emily was weakening, and he could hardly sense her presence. It was as if she was being shielded from him, and Leo's instincts screamed at him to find her.
But for now, he had to play it cool. "I'll leave tonight," Leo said, his voice dripping with amusement. "Let's see how Prince Karan plays this game"
Meanwhile, in the human realm, Emily was sneaking into Prince Karan's bedroom, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger. But what she saw took her breath away.
Prince Karan was stepping out of the bathroom, a towel barely clinging to his waist. Emily's eyes widened in surprise, and she let out a disdainful "tisk."
"What a waste of a look," she said, turning away. "If you don't have a wife, it's not worth showing off."
Prince Karan chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "You're a feisty one, aren't you?" he said, his voice low and husky.
Emily didn't respond. She walked angrily away, her phone clutched tightly in her hand. It was only partially charged, but she didn't care. She just wanted to get out of there.
As she reached the door, Prince Karan called out after her. "You can't escape me that easily, Emily," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "I'll always find you."
Emily didn't look back. She just kept walking, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she had to come up with a plan to escape Prince Karan's clutches and find her way back to Leo.
As she walked, Emily's mind began to spin with ideas. She thought about sneaking out of the mansion, but she knew the guards would be watching her every move. She thought about trying to contact Leo, but she didn't know if her phone was being monitored.
Just as Emily was starting to feel hopeless, she heard a noise behind her. She turned to see one of the maids, a kind-looking woman with a warm smile.
"Miss Emily, I need to talk to you," the maid said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Emily's heart skipped a beat as she followed the maid into a nearby room. "What is it?" Emily asked, her voice urgent.
The maid hesitated, looking around nervously. "I don't think you're safe here, Miss Emily," she said. "Prince Karan is not a good man. He's been using some kind of magic to control people's minds."
Emily's eyes widened in shock. "What?" she exclaimed. "That's impossible."
The maid nodded. "I know it sounds crazy, but I've seen it with my own eyes. And I think he's using it on you, Miss Emily."
Emily's mind was reeling. She didn't know what to believe, but she knew she had to get out of there. She thanked the maid and made her way back to her room, her heart pounding in her chest.
As she locked the door behind her, Emily felt a sense of determination wash over her. She was going to escape Prince Karan's clutches, no matter what it took. And she was going to find her way back to Everyone that loves her no matter what dangers lay ahead.
