Lord Boss 1

Blue River, the player who, like Lord Grim, had his name announced in the system notice, was quite a figure. He belonged to Blue Brook Guild, one of the top three guilds in Glory. In the game's domain of gods, he played as a swordsman named Blue Bridge Spring Snow and was one of the top five experts in Blue Brook Guild. However, seasoned players knew that behind such top-tier guilds were professional clubs, and the top five experts weren't even the pinnacle; the professional players from the clubs' teams were the real deal.

Blue Brook Guild was backed by the Blue Rain Club's team, with the top expert being Huang Shaotian, who played under the account Troubling Rain. As a professional swordsman, he was known as the Sword Saint in the Glory circle and was a character as renowned as the Battle God One Autumn Leaf.

With the opening of the tenth server, Blue River led a group of players to the new area to pioneer for the guild, to expand their influence, and to recruit fresh blood. If not for such figures from the top three guilds, who else would have the ambition to dominate all the dungeon records in the new area? Yet their plan to take the record for the level 10 Spider Cave dungeon failed by just ten seconds. The brothers were frustrated, and Blue River was no happier.

"Lord Grim..." Blue River muttered the name, sharing the confusion with everyone else. The main battleground for guilds of Blue Brook Guild's caliber was in the domain of gods. After years of competition, they knew each other's strengths and weaknesses very well. They also had a good grasp of which experts had been dispatched to pioneer the tenth server. But this Lord Grim wasn't on any list they had; could it be that some expert had secretly created an alt to come here?

"Any information on the other four people in his team?" Blue River asked.

"No," replied one of his brothers.

"Contact the brothers spread out in the different villages and see if anyone knows anything," Blue River instructed. Since the distribution of starting villages was random, it wasn't like all the members of Blue Brook Guild ended up together. Everyone was developing on their own, leveling up while scouting for promising new players. They would regroup after reaching level 20 and leaving the starting village to establish the guild.

Blue River was naturally the command center among the Blue Brook Guild players who had come over. In reality, no large guild could cover all the starting villages since the distribution was random. But as Blue River and his team once again entered the Spider Cave to grind levels, they finally got some feedback.

However, the feedback didn't clarify the situation; instead, it made things even more chaotic.

The feedback mentioned that in a certain village, outside the Green Forest dungeon, someone from the five-person team named Sleeping Moon had spammed accusations that Lord Grim had deliberately sabotaged them in the dungeon to steal the hidden boss...

"What the heck is this?" Everyone was puzzled.

Lord Grim first sabotaged to steal a hidden boss for a first kill, then teamed up with these people to get the first kill in the Spider Cave? Such a bizarre turn of events baffled even the five experienced veterans.

"Let's not worry about it for now, focus on leveling up. We'll have a chance to meet after reaching level 20," Blue River said gravely, continuing to lead the team in battle.

Outside the Spider Cave in a certain village, Tian Qi and the other three were still basking in the excitement of their dungeon first kill. Compared to an expert like Blue River, they were far behind, so the concept of a first kill was almost a fantasy to them. They never expected to actually achieve it and were so excited they didn't know what to say.

And their great contributor, Lord Grim? He was as calm as ever, merely commenting, "Not bad experience!"

"Thanks to you, expert!" Tian Qi and the others surrounded Lord Grim. They had played Glory for so long and finally understood what a top-tier expert was. A top-tier expert was someone whose mere presence could make a dungeon that should be avoided by newbies as easy as walking on flat ground. Tian Qi even felt that following such an expert, even at the expense of the guild, would be well worth it.

Compared to the exuberance of Tian Qi and the other two, Sleeping Moon was in a rather gloomy mood. He watched as his former enemy became a hero in his brothers' eyes, and in the recent dungeon, he had harbored malicious thoughts, which made the others somewhat dissatisfied with him. If he didn't say something now, he would lose face. Gritting his teeth, Sleeping Moon stepped forward to Lord Grim: "I admit you're skilled, but I swear, one day I'll catch up to you!"

"Are you serious?" Ye Qiu smiled.

"Yes!" Sleeping Moon said defiantly.

"Good luck," Ye Qiu replied with two words before walking away.

"Damn..." Sleeping Moon was scratching the wall in frustration: Are you looking down on me? Are you despising me? Are you mocking me? Isn't that how experts are supposed to respond to a challenge? What's with the casual "good luck" like it's nothing?

"Sleepy, cut it out," Tian Qi came over to play peacemaker.

"Damn, you're Sleepy," Sleeping Moon retorted angrily.

"Let's leave the dungeon, let's level up quickly," the other two brothers, Mu Yunshen and Qian Shengli, called out before eagerly running off to add Lord Grim as a friend.

"Darn, adding friends without me." Tian Qi hurriedly followed.

Sleeping Moon, still grinding his teeth, unexpectedly received a friend request from Lord Grim.

He rejected it promptly and decisively.

If he applies again... Sleeping Moon thought. But that 'if' never happened. Lord Grim had already entered the dungeon, and Tian Qi and the others followed suit. Sleeping Moon was left outside alone, and it was only after a while that he received a message from Tian Qi asking where he was. Sleeping Moon was frustrated. When he entered the dungeon again, damn, the four of them hadn't waited for him at all; they had already fought their way through, apparently only just realizing he was missing.

Sleeping Moon was tempted to leave again, but then another message from Tian Qi arrived. He appreciated his brother's concern and decided not to let that guy dampen their spirits, eventually catching up. Tian Qi was good at maintaining relationships and quickly noticed Sleeping Moon's displeasure, so after a private chat to soothe his feelings, Sleeping Moon felt much better.

The dungeon run was still smooth sailing, and they quickly completed another round. Without further ado, they went for the third round, only to receive a system notification upon entering: You have inadvertently entered the Spider Lord's lair.

"Hidden boss," Tian Qi exclaimed, then looked to Lord Grim.

Without this expert, they wouldn't dare to touch the Spider Cave's hidden boss under the current conditions. The system was considerate in this regard; the hidden boss wasn't placed on the players' mandatory path to clearing the dungeon. It was optional, and clearing the dungeon was still based on whether the final boss was defeated. At that moment, everyone looked to Lord Grim to see if, with the high player's help, they could take on the hidden boss.

"Oh, a hidden boss has appeared!" Ye Qiu said, "Well, about the hidden boss..."

"Can't kill it?" Tian Qi and the others were slightly disappointed.

"It's not that we can't kill it, but I have a small request. The Spider Lord is supposed to drop a powerful spider silk, right? Can I have that? I'll give up all other materials or equipment; you guys can take whatever you want," Ye Qiu proposed.
