Han Mei sighed deeply, the weight of the past months pressing down on her. She gently guided Xiao Meiying to sit down, her expression a mix of sorrow and frustration. "Meiying, your father, Xiao Lei, went missing two months ago," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "It happened right after his second meeting with the Mo Sect leaders. I don't know what the meeting was about, but whatever it was, it left him deeply troubled."
She paused, her eyes glistening with tears. "I asked him what happened, but he just got angry and left the house. He never came back after that. I've been searching for him ever since, but there hasn't been a single trace."
She looked at Xiao Meiying, her own eyes reflecting the anguish of the unknown. "I've tried everything to find him, just like I did for you. But it's like he vanished into thin air." Her voice broke, the pain of losing both her husband and daughter was overwhelming to her. "I'm so scared, Meiying. First you, and then your father. I didn't know what to do."
The room fell silent.
Feng Lou, still silent with his eyes closed, seemed a distant presence amidst the family's anguish. However, in his mind, he was racing through possibilities, trying to piece together what could have happened to Xiao Meiying's father.
After some thinking, one troubling conclusion surfaced in his mind: the Mo Sect must have taken him.
"The Mo Sect must have taken him," Feng Lou said, his eyes still closed as he leaned against the wall. His voice was calm.
Hearing his sudden words, both Xiao Meiying and her mother were taken aback. Han Mei quickly gathered herself and said, "Yes, I thought of that too. I even went to the Mo Sect headquarters, which I learned about from spies. But when I got there, the whole mountain was gone. It was as if some giant hand had taken it away. I've tried everything to find them, but it was to no avail." Her voice trembled with frustration and despair
"Giant hand? What do you mean?" Feng Lou asked, suddenly curious, opening his eyes and looking at Han Mei intently.
Han Mei took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "When I reached the location where the Mo Sect headquarters was supposed to be, the entire mountain was missing. It was like a giant hand had reached down and taken it away, leaving nothing but an empty landscape. There was no trace of the Mo Sect or my husband. It was as if they had vanished into thin air." Her voice was filled with a mix of confusion and fear as she recalled the surreal sight.
"A giant hand," Feng Lou repeated, his surprise evident. He thought to himself, "I need to find this Mo Sect. Just by guessing, I think this Mo Sect is also involved in the moon's disappearance."
"I'll help you find them, I am curious too," Feng Lou said, he was curious about this mystery.
Alongside this curiosity, he felt an unexpected surge of fighting intent. He didn't fully understand why, but the thought of confronting the creature that had eaten the moon ignited a fire in his heart.
Han Mei was suddenly surprised by Feng Lou's declaration but quickly composed herself. She knew better than to refuse help from someone as strong as him, presumably a Celestial Martial Artist. Recognizing the opportunity, she nodded in agreement.
"Can you get some water and salt?" Feng Lou asked Han Mei.
Han Mei, puzzled by the request, replied, "Why?"
Feng Lou responded calmly, "I need to do a divination spell. It will help me find the Mo Sect."
Han Mei was surprised by Feng Lou's request, but she didn't refuse. She was not sure of the extent of Celestial realm martial artist's abilities, so she hurried to the kitchen to fetch some salt and water. Returning with the supplies, she handed them to Feng Lou.
As Feng Lou began the divination spell with water and salt, a water-like magical wheel materialized around him, it was pulsating with spiritual energy. Han Mei and Xiao Meiying were shocked, but they quickly calmed down cause they had seen a lot of unreal things these days.
Suddenly, a series of images began to flicker within the wheel. Scenes of mountains, forests, and ancient temples flashed by, each one a glimpse into the unknown. But before Feng Lou could decipher their meaning, a sudden, piercing scream shattered the tranquility of the room.
The images wavered and distorted, replaced by a menacing figure cloaked in red, its horned silhouette towering ominously. "Who dares to peep on my location?" the figure's voice boomed, sending a chill down their spines.
Feng Lou's brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to maintain control of the divination spell amidst the intrusion.
As the interference reached its peak, the magic wheel surrounding Feng Lou suddenly began to glow with a brilliant golden light. Feng Lou realized that it had transformed into the magic wheel gifted to him by the way of heaven of the Prehistoric World.
As the golden wheel manifested, all interference ceased, the chaotic images dissipating into the ether. In their place, a clear vision emerged—a strange portal shimmering amidst the depths of the ocean
Beside the portal, coordinates appeared, glowing in a luminous script: Latitude 47° 34' 6.7512'' N, Longitude 53° 33' 21.8196'' W.
Both Xiao Meiying and her mother were amazed by the magic spell Feng Lou performed and how the golden wheel appeared. They were also surprised by the sudden interference and the strange image of the red monster. But what amazed them the most was how easily Feng Lou managed to stop the interference and reveal the coordinates.
Feng Lou was also taken aback by the sudden interference during the divination spell. As the golden magic wheel appeared, he couldn't help but feel a sense of astonishment and curiosity. Turning inward, he asked from Chaos Bell.
"How did the golden magic wheel appear here?" Feng Lou asked,
Chaos Bell's voice echoed in his mind, "Just like the Death Law Fragment, it resides within your soul," Chaos Bell replied.
