Sprawling onto the soft bed, Dabria’s eyes closed while thoughts of the dangers that awaited her spiralled in her mind. Could she escape before it was too late? She thought to herself but before she could devise a rational plan to escape whatever grim fate awaited her in the territory of demons, the hands of slumber drew her in.
The warmth from the fireplace and the rich velvet rubbing against her skin invited her to the world of dreams and soon, she was in a deep slumber.
The sun peeked through the velvet curtains, allowing filters of light to brush lightly on Dabria’s face. Soon, her eyes stirred open as she yawned and stretched her limbs, and within a few seconds, she immediately realised where she was.
Sprouting up on the bed, her wide eyes retraced the room as her fingers traced the silk sheets underneath her. This wasn’t her uncomfortable wooden bed with frail cotton mattress, neither was the exquisite looking chamber her tiny unflattering room.
