Everything changes after he returns from a pilgrimage to a miraculous statue of the Holy Virgin Mary, when he becomes the victim of a plane accident in which, with no hope left, he prays alongside the other passengers, gives his final blessing, and then... And then what?
He wakes up on a bench. Where exactly? Right in the heart of the most important square in the world, in Rome, caput mundi, as the Latins used to say. What is he doing there? He remembered the airplane accident, but he also had other memories. How did he get here, what year is it? He was at the Vatican, but still... Is it the year 1492?!

When You Transmigrate to Other Times

Deep within the palace gardens, under the moonlight casting shadows on the cobblestone paths, Cesare and I walked in silence. The cool evening air seemed to bring a welcome calm after days of intense preparations. We stopped under an old willow tree, its leaves swaying gently in the breeze.

"Antonio," Cesare said, his voice heavy with deep thoughts, "have you thought about everything that will change for us?"

His question made me gather my thoughts and remember the moments we spent together, from our meeting in Rome to this new stage in our lives.

"Yes," I replied after a moment of reflection. "Our lives will undergo profound and unexpected changes. But with you by my side, I feel we have the strength to face any obstacle."
