Damien's hand clasped the back of Isabella's head as he deepened the kiss. Her lips were soft and warm beneath his, and for a moment, the weight of everything else faded away. Isabella's heart hammered against her ribs as she melted into his embrace, her hands finding their way to his chest.
When they finally pulled apart, both were breathing heavily. Isabella's cheeks were flushed, and she couldn't meet his intense gaze.
"Bella," Damien's voice was rough with emotion. He cupped her face gently, his thumb tracing her cheekbone. "You have no idea what you do to me."
Isabella's breath caught in her throat. She had never seen this vulnerable side of him before. "Damien, I—"
A sharp knock at the door interrupted them. "Alpha, forgive the intrusion, but there's someone at the border who claims to be Luna's brother."
