Isabella finished her breakfast with Nile, enjoying the peaceful morning in their new home. The city sounds were still foreign to her ears, but she was beginning to appreciate the anonymity it offered. For the first time in months, she felt like she could breathe without constantly looking over her shoulder.

"The view from here is incredible," Nile said, standing by the floor-to-ceiling windows. "I never imagined the human world would advance so much in just a few years."

"It's different from what I expected, too," Isabella admitted, joining him at the window. "But I think I could get used to it."

"Really? You don't miss the pack?"

Isabella's smile faltered slightly. "I miss them terribly. But there's something liberating about being here. No one knows who I am."

Nile squeezed her shoulder. "You can be whoever you want to be here, Bella. A fresh start."

"I hope so," she whispered.
