Chapter 04

[Hi, I'm Echo, your futuristic AI robot and I welcome you to Glacial Sphere, where magic, science, and engineering are merged together to push the boundaries of knowledge and possibility. This prestigious institute stands as a beacon of innovation and discovery, attracting the brightest minds from across the world.]

A robot-like man was placed at the side of the entrance gate and was programmed to say the same thing every time it detects a human entering.

According to the novel, Glacial Sphere is the name of a huge island located in Tosmia. This floating island operated by magic was so big that in the real world, it can be compared to the size of Greenland.

I finally entered the gate along with my fellow cadets. Despite how big this place is, there were only about 10,000 cadets that reside here. 2,500 cadets were first years, wide-eyed and eager to prove themselves that they can be a hero.

While the non combatant class cadets who graduated just 3 days ago were about 3,000. Their departure paved way for the cadets of noble blood across the world to enter the academy, making it more competitive and it served as a reminder to the other cadets of the harsh realities of the academy—a place where only the strongest and most determined would succeed.

Soon, an additional 300-500 mages from the Institute of the Arcane will be joining the academy to become a cadet in pursuit of becoming Heroes. About 70,000 people reside in Glacial Sphere including the ones who maintain this island and those who teach the students.

Including her, she could be said to be one of noble blood since I can enter this academy. After thinking for a moment, it was better to be an extra than becoming the MC. I have no role to play to the novel so I'll just ignore the storyline and I can live the life I want to without any worry that I'll get killed in any moment.

'What ever happened in living peacefully...'

Remillia sighed as she glanced at the classroom once more.

NOVICE 1— AGASTIA

There is a system grade for cadets as they go higher to finish their learning.

Novice → Advanced Beginner → Junior → Senior → Expert

Novice refers to first year cadets, Advanced Beginner refers to second year cadets, Junior refers to third and so on. Agastia simply means the name of the class.

'Oh boy, I know what class this is.'

Cypher Nox and Edge Killian both belong to the same class. As a troublemaker, Edge will soon be creating his group which will make the class uncontrollable by the instructors. Try as I might to distance myself from the upcoming drama, I will still be pulled in the mess they created regardless of my will.

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes as I finally opened and stepped inside the room.

The interior of the classroom exuded a sense of modern elegance, with sleek lines and a pristine white palette that lent the feeling of sophistication to the air. Not a speck of dust can be seen on the surfaces, each corner was flawlessly clean and polished to perfection. Three long desks, crafted from the finest white material, cascaded upward and an ergonomic chairs were used.

As I quickly scanned the classroom, my gaze lingered on Edge who sat at the back. He seemed too elegant as a cloud of coldness seemed to be surrounding him. I breathed a sigh of relief as he and his friend, Whitney Owen, remained engrossed in their own conversation, oblivious to my existence.

Taking advantage of their distraction, I chose to settle into the border seat of the middle row, a safe distance from the drama and chaos that seemed to follow Edge Killian wherever he went.

As I sat there, staring straight at the holographic projection screen, I couldn't help but feel a wave of weariness wash over me. The thought of returning to school, after years of spending time working on the challenges of high school felt like a cruel twist of fate— For better or for worse, I was back in school, and there was no turning back now.

Glancing at all the cadets talking and making friends with each other, I didn't bother making any friends. I was considered the introvert type since I was in High School in the real world. Even if I bother making friends I don't know even know what to say to them since I'm still new at this world. Heck, I don't even know Remillia's memory.

It's now 8:20 AM. Class will start at exactly 8:30 AM. I thought that I was a little late since I still have to go to Aeonia to use the portal to go to Glacial Sphere but as it turns out, there's this express bus going to Glacial Sphere Academy that ran every 5 minutes. You can only ride the bus if you have your I.D. Ordinary people can't ride in, it's exclusively only for the people for Glacial Sphere.

I didn't know that there was such a thing like this knowing that I didn't put this on my novel. Nevermind this for now, I feel sleepy as I got bored of waiting for the instructor to show up. As soon as my head dropped on the desk.

BAM!
