As Stacey went to continue another voice cut her off, a deep voice. "Most of the patients were mentally stable before being sent here, and then left unstable 'crazy' as some say."

Leo looked towards the sound of the voice and froze, "Jake?!" he called out. He looked at the other male, before seeing another behind him, Chase. "God Chase, you're here too?!" he said with a smile.

"Hey Leo, how are you doing man. Been holding up alright?" Jake asked, smiling and punching Leo on the shoulder lightly.

"I guess I've been okay, better than Megan at least." Leo replied.

The group grew silent at the mention of the girl, "Yea she hasn't been doing too great." Chase replied. "She barely leaves the house anymore, I feel bad for her. And I miss Marrissa, she was just a kid too. She didn't deserve that, she had her whole life ahead of her." he finished.

"Yea she did, I miss her energy, her smile filled the whole room, and her laughter was contagious." Leo said sadly, remembering the young girl.

"Is no one going to ask why they're here, or how he knew about Shadow Hill, and that we'd be here?" Gwen asked, pointing to Jake.

She had no idea who Chase or Jake were, only Leo, Stacey and Christine did. As no one had heard much from them after the nightmare of a camping trip.

Chase sighed, "Because I got a text from Chrissy, she told me." he explained.

Christine gave a sheepish smile and hid behind Leo, "I just thought it would be smart, at least someone would know where we were if we went missing." she explained.

They all gave looks of agreement, the girl wasn't wrong. It was a good idea, but now the only other two that knew were here.

"Wait then why did you guys come here? Wouldn't it only work if you guys stayed home?" Stacey asked in confusion.

"I know this place like the back of my hand, my dad grew up around here, and I've been inside a few times with my grandpa, he used to work here, when he was younger." Jake explained.

"So then can you give us the full history?" Stacey asked, "I don't think I got it all right..."

"You did actually, you got most of it right, you just didn't finish it." Jake said, giving a small smile.

Stacey smiled, clearly proud of herself for getting her facts right.

"Wanna give us the rest of the rundown of this place?" Gwen asked.

Jake sighed and nodded before speaking, "As I said earlier, most of the patients were mentally stable before being sent here, and then left unstable. 22 years after opening however, Shadow Hill became home to many of this town's prisoners and serial killers."

Most of the group froze while a girl, one of Stacey's friends, spoke up. "Wait so does that mean serial killers died here?" She asked.

"Yes Riley." Stacey said to the girl, Riley.

Riley nodded and looked at a boy standing beside her, looking much like her. Their matching red hair, green eyes, and freckles.

"Continuing," Jake started, "Shadow Hill finally closed on April 19, 1998 when they were sued for the death of a girl named, Lillian Walkers. She was-" before he could finish he was cut off.

"You mean the Lillian Walkers that tried to kill us on the camping trip?! The MONSTER of a 'friend' Lillian!?" Christine screamed.

"Yes, her, now let me finish!" Jake said in frustration.

The group quickly shut their mouths and stopped asking questions, letting Jake finish.

"Anyway as I was saying, Shadow Hill Asylum was sued after Lillian Walkers died. Her death was caused by another inmate patient. She was stabbed three times through the chest. She was rushed to a hospital but was later pronounced dead at 12:03 pm. Her parents sued and Shadow Hill closed down. After closing, the building became run down, and the final resting place for those who died here." Jake explained.

The others nodded and followed along.

"Wait so if you've been here before, then what's it like?" Gwen asked.

"Well I won't lie, when I came here the first time, everything looked either messy or lost in time. Like everyone left in a rush." Jake said.

"Spooky~." Stacey giggled, as she waved her hands around pretending to be scared.

Leo frowned feeling a shiver run down his spine as he could have sworn he saw a pair of glowing red eyes in the dark. He quickly shook his head, it was just his imagination, he was just being paranoid. He still couldn't forget the camping trip, it felt like a bad dream, but he knew. He knew it was real. People actually died and were forgotten.

"HOWEVER!" Chase said loudly gaining the group's attention again. "The last time I have been here was 3 years ago before my grandpa died." Jake said sadly.

"And I did some research, and it's not good news. We should leave while we still can." Chase said.

"What no, we can't leave we just got here! I wanna go explore!" One of Stacey's other friends, exclaimed.

"Yea, I agree with Ralph, we just got here, Chase." Stacey said, her voice filled with sass.

"Ace...if he says we should leave, I think we should listen I'm sure he has a good reason." Leo said.

Before anyone else could say anything Stacey, and her friend, Ralph, ran inside the building.

Christine scoffed and looked at Leo, "Does the girl ever listen, she just got through chemo from cancer, and survived a stressing nightmare fueled camping trip, now she's just rushing into a building abandoned for a reason?! Does she have a death wish!?" she screeched.

Despite how it seemed, Christine didn't hate Stacey, if anything she saw her as a younger sister. And she cared deeply for the younger girl.

"No she doesn't listen, and she won't unless she has to, and right now she doesn't think she does." Leo huffed. He then turned to his dogs and sighed, "Artemis go keep up with her, keep her close and keep her safe." Leo ordered the German Shepherd.

The dog barked and wagged her tail before running off after Stacey.
