Nindō 0145: Melding Chakra

With his son having disappeared, Naruto's first order of business was to devise a method to allow him to cast normal jutsu through the Dominion Mark.

After Sasuke and Sarada had left his house, Naruto reassured Hinata one last time and let her take care of Kawaki and Himawari before leaving his house. He used Flying Raijin to directly teleport to the top of the Hokage mountain, where his clone was already waiting for him after drawing the seal on the ground.

[What are you planning, Naruto?]

[To modify my chakra into a form compatible with the Dominion Mark. The best way to support Boruto in both training and protection is through Shadow Clones.]

[Have you tried the Flying Raijin?]

[Remember my explanation about the sealing dimension being superimposed over our reality? Their reality has a different sealing dimension.]

[So, no matter what you try, you cannot locate his frequency.]

[Hence, shadow clones. I'm probably going to need some of your chakra as well.]

[Who are you going to experiment on? The new woman?]

[Nah, I have a rough framework for it in mind and will create a few different variants first. Then I'll talk to Hinata about trying them out. She's been sour with me for long enough. I want to use this as an opportunity to give her a little push.]

[How is this going to work? Melding your chakra with divinity?]

[We've already established that the Dominion Mark doesn't work very well with Divinity. I just sent one orb to Boruto to support him, and even after all this preparation and practice, it took a ton of energy out of me. Plus, divinity doesn't work like that. You must've realized that I use the Truth-Seeker Orbs freely, without concern for exhausting my divinity.]

[Yes. I just presumed that as long as you have Momoshiki and Usashiki, you can recover what is lost.]

[Nah. Divinity doesn't work like an energy. It is an authority in a more literal sense than one would assume. I can command the universe to act in a certain manner. For an ability like the Truth-Seeker Orbs, chakra is the only thing they are made of, while Divinity enables the merger. The amount of divinity that I possess only affects the upper limit of the feats that I can do.]

[So how do you plan to formulate your own variant of Six Paths Chakra?]

[First, I have to see what tools I have available.]

Naruto raised his hand and released a Truth-Seeker Orb into the air in front of him. With some concentration from him, it started radiating a colorless energy reminiscent of Chakra.

"I'll call this refined chakra. Created when I filter my chakra through a Truth-Seeker Orb. I've already attempted to transfer it through the Dominion Mark with Karin in the past, and it didn't work the way I wanted it to. I'm going to try to meld it with natural energy and see the result."

The calm, colorless energy emitting from the floating Truth-Seeker Orb got restless. Naruto naturally transitioned into his Six Paths Sage Mode as he controlled the natural energy in the surroundings to interact with the refined chakra. The colorless nature of the energy stayed consistent, but from its previous calmness, it grew violent and erratic. It also gave out a substantial sense of pressure to Naruto as he created more.

"Let's see how this works with the usual jutsu…" Naruto extended his palm forward and took control of that chakra to make a generic Rasengan. Not only was it harder for him to make a Rasengan using that chakra, but it was also highly unstable, only maintaining its shape because of his high chakra control capabilities. With a thought, a normal shadow clone formed in front of him.

"Use Earth Release to give me a target."

The clone immediately raised a thick wall in front of itself that got large enough to block Naruto's line of sight.

Naruto walked forward with the Rassengan in hand and directly struck the wall with it. A large explosion forced him to stumble backward as the wall was immediately destroyed and left a significant crater on top of the Hokage mountain.

"Unstable and too strong. Not very good for an intricate jutsu like shadow clones. I'll give it a try just for the sake of it." Naruto immediately used the same chakra to cast a shadow clone that appeared in front of him.

"Hey, buddy," the clone called out as his face paled quickly. "I don't feel so good …"

Within seconds, that clone popped into a cloud of smoke.

[You need some kind of stabilizing agent, Naruto. Your current issue is the same as with normal natural energy. It is not stable enough to allow you to cast jutsu directly. You still need to use your own chakra as the base for the enhancement of sage mode to take effect. Natural energy cannot serve as the base for a jutsu.]

[Yeah, I know. I'll try to incorporate your chakra into it and see what happens.]

[Try to refine it using the Truth-Seeker Orb as well. I'm curious what that would result in.]

Naruto nodded and created another Truth-Seeker Orb that he used to refine Kurama's raw chakra that did not go through him. Instead of being red, the chakra released was golden.

"It's the same result as you working with me to release your chakra using the proper jinchūriki method through my tenketsu." Naruto analyzed the chakra and concluded. "I'll see what happens if I run it through the orb again … No difference."

Even after processing Kurama's chakra through multiple Truth-Seeker Orbs, the end result was always the same. The gold chakra had identical properties as the chakra released that formed Naruto's chakra cloak, meaning that there was no point in refining it further through the Orbs.

"Let's try merging the three," Naruto said. He raised both his hands and gathered some of the refined chakra into them before pushing natural energy into the colorless chakra. His next step was to add Kurama's chakra to it. Kurama's chakra cloak was activated in conjunction with Naruto's Six Paths Sage Mode as he pushed Kurama's refined chakra into one sphere of colorless energy while pushing the raw, red chakra into the other sphere.

As the seconds passed, the colorless energy mixed with red suddenly turned far more violent, as if reacting adversely with something within it. Naruto released a golden hue around his palm and enveloped the unstable sphere of chakra. It burst apart with a miniature explosion within Naruto's palm.

[That blast would've leveled the Hokage mountain…]

Kurama's unsettled voice made Naruto smile wryly.

"We are mixing energies of wildly different properties together. Such a result was bound to happen. The raw emotions in your chakra triggered my colorless chakra, and they worked together to break down the raw constituents of natural energy. Giving us a fission-based explosion not too far from the fusion-based explosion of Baryon Mode.

[Unfortunately, it takes too long, otherwise, it could be a useful trump card. Using a tailed beast bomb with such firepower inside…]

"…would wipe the planet into space dust," Naruto completed for Kurama. "It's a bad idea. On the other hand, this one seems to be pretty stable."

On the other hand, the sphere of energy infused with Kurama's golden chakra looked stable enough to cast a normal jutsu through it.

"Earth Release," Naruto said thoughtfully. The chakra dissipated, and a rock pillar rose up from the ground in front of him.

A few seconds later, the pillar crumbled down and returned to the Earth.

"It's stable, but now we need a binding method to prevent it from breaking apart and dissipating into the air."

"Do you have something in mind?"

"Not really… I was kinda hoping that this would give me a stable enough result that I could directly transmit through the Dominion Mark to cast jutsu. I guess I could use divinity to weave the three kinds of chakra together, but that would defeat the purpose of making a form of chakra that can transfer through the mark."

[You said divinity is like an authority, right? What if you use it to weave the chakra together in a stable pattern without actually infusing any authority into it? As I've come to understand your utilization of divinity further, I have started making some parallels between my father's usage and yours. His Six Paths chakra also did not have any authority infused into it. Yet, it allowed one to cast divine abilities.]

"I could give it a try, but without a template, it is going to be far too much work," Naruto said. "The Sage of Six Paths innately had Six Paths chakra from his Ōtsutsuki heritage. I am creating it from the ground up."

[If there's one thing that you don't lack, it is manpower to help you brute force a method.]

"There are millions of possible ways to weave those three kinds of chakra together, Kurama."

[The weaving process doesn't require divinity. You can have your clones work on a theoretical basis to give you the most stable methods of weaving everything together.]

"Guess I'm going to pause my Flying Raijin training for a while. This time, it's going to be much more exhausting. Those clones will need a constant supply of refined chakra and your chakra through me."

[You don't see me complaining.]

"Because you aren't the one cautious about letting the clones handle things related to divinity. I can't leave the refining process to a clone. It has to be done by me. Whatever, it's not too much trouble. If I go all out, it should take me a few minutes to refine half of my chakra reserves through multiple Truth-Seeker Orbs. That should be enough for around two hundred thousand clones to train with for the entire day."

[That's the spirit.]

"It should take a few days until they can find me a viable solution…" Naruto sighed as he used the Flying Raijin to teleport to the training ground where more than three hundred thousand of Naruto's clones were training the Flying Raijin. They were the reason that his proficiency in the technique had improved at such a fast pace. From when it used to take him more than ten seconds of concentration in the past, he was able to teleport within two seconds. Not to mention, he was also able to use the technique through the Dominion Mark because of their efforts.

By abusing so many clones and a nigh-unbreakable mind, no matter how horrendous his talent, Naruto could brute-force any technique, as long as it was based on chakra.
