Daddy duties

Uh" I muttered, my jaw dropping at his confession. I had not expected to hear that, so to say that I was taken off guard was an understatement.

"I mentally slapped myself at my lack of composure and my reaction.

"No, what I meant to say is…uhm" I stuttered, unsure of what to say, I was battling within me on what I should reply to such confession. At that point, I felt like sprinting out of the bathroom away from his watching eyes.

"I can literally see the wheels in your head spinning at a thousand miles per second, Audrey."

He grabbed my hands looking into my eyes ,then he smiled, a knee bending, heart melting, knee weakening smile, that if I was not sitting on the floor would have made my knees buckle and landed me to the floor but luckily I was already on the floor and therefore saving myself further embarrassment.
