Not bothering to disconnect the call, my hands still shaking, I called out to the driver
"Take me to Grey view hospital now! As fast as you can" I ordered, my voice trembling
"Sir, you cannot change your destination mid way to such a far destination, it would take hours to get there"
"I'll pay you whatever you want no matter the charge. Just take me there and as fast as possible"
The driver eyed me from the mirror, probably seeing the desperation on my face coupled with the promise to pay him whatever he charged, he finally put the gear in reverse and began heading towards the hospital.
The chill in my bones was nothing I had ever felt, my heart was beating so fast that I feared it would burst, the sheen of sweat that lined my forehead was that of immense fear.
As I sat at the back seat of the car I realized that I was drowning but not in water, my left leg bounced nervously, and my shaky hands could not stop it.
