Chapter 69

---

We didn't have another conversation again. I lost my motivation, and it felt like my energy suddenly vanished earlier. They both fell asleep from exhaustion while I couldn't sleep right away. If I hadn't forced myself, I might still be awake until now.

I woke up to the sound of laughter outside my room. I looked at the two but they were no longer in the room. They must have woken up before me.

I stepped out of the room and saw the two of them happily playing with the twins. But I still couldn't shake off the thought of the bracelet Calia was wearing. I wondered where she got it from. It was still early, so I thought I'd call Zaiden and ask him about it.

I went back to my room and grabbed my phone. I remembered it was off last night, so I turned it on. As soon as it powered up, someone called before I could even call Zaiden. A smile spread across my face when I saw who it was. But I pretended to be in a bad mood because I wanted to see how he'd react.
