Chapter 17: Ever Kissed Before

"I apologize for yelling at you, Young Master..., "Sometimes, you made me wonder what kind of wife I got married to; you would cry for me, then become jealous for my sake. Nonetheless, I won't be here for around two days, and you might become bored, so I'd like you to stay with someone before my arrival," Alexander revealed, which irritated Inara for one or two reasons.

"Where are you headed? Can you just tell me what's wrong instead of making me feel totally confused? You think I'm incapable of being your wife; you're always keeping things away from me, "You don't need to know; there's nothing to worry about. Aren't you sleepy? Go to bed, wifey," Alexander said, cutting her off briefly, and lying on the bed, Inara grudgingly joined him.

"You are always welcome to discuss your burdens with me, my husband. I don't like seeing you struggle through the hardships on your own; it makes me feel useless. Okay?" Inara murmured, and Alexander turned to face her, only to see that she had already taken a dozen off; it was clear she couldn't sleep due to his absence.

—-----

Zephyr greeted Inara warmly upon seeing her; Alexander had instructed him to look after her while he was away for the requisite number of days. Despite his reservations, he could not turn him down.

"Nice to finally see you, my angel; you look stunning. Anyway, I'll accompany you to your respective rooms," Zephyr smiled, prompting Yivanne to frown in displeasure. She cannot be apart from her lady for even a second. Inara understood her concerns and persuaded him to let them both stay in the same room.

"Thank you. However, my sister is uncomfortable being apart from me. How about we share a room instead? She…, "It's alright, your husband says I should never make you feel uncomfortable; which's why I cannot say no to your request, Mi…,"

"My name is Inara, by the way. What is yours? I'm a pretty shy person, which is why I had to cut you off, "I understand. My name is Zephyr, Inara. So, which of the rooms do you prefer? That or this?" Zephyr questioned, pointing to the rooms that they walked passed through, "That would be better, Zephyr. I actually want all of them," Inara joked, and they burst out laughing.

"As your ladyship wishes," Zephyr grinned, his brows met Yivanne's, they shared an eyeball to eyeball contact, but she was too quick to escape her stare almost immediately, "Alright, the room is perfectly good," he concluded as they proceeded inside the room of their choice.

"I will have to take a leave of absence for a while since I have an urgent matter to deal to. Surely you're not furious with me? Should…, "Not at all; you may leave. Thank you once more," Inara replied, bowing, and Zephyr bowed in response.

:

"My lady, you addressed me as your 'sister.' I'm flattered, to be precise, "Do you mind my calling you that? You've always been a sister to me; I didn't lie, "Oh, "Should I start calling you 'sister' from now on?" Inara questioned mockingly, Yivanne grabbed her hand, and they both slumped on the bed.

—------

Zephyr and Alexander walked into the Green Demonic Woods, and the Demons didn't attack them after smelling their fragrance.

"One of us is willing to be King if you assisted him in murdering the witches he want to eliminate. Do you all agree, given the overwhelming support?" Zephyr began his speech, and everyone appeared dissatisfied with what he stated.

"He doesn't appear powerful enough to be the King; it's clear he could be easily murdered by one of us. Certainly, we would have offered to assist him, but he…., "I would teach him how to use his powers; within a short period of time, he would have gained enough of his powers," Zephyr remarked, assuming he should be the one speaking because Alexander is not permitted to speak.

"You appear to be certain about your friend, despite being many times more powerful Demons than him, has never defeated us. And, honestly, someone like him cannot be accepted; he doesn't even know how to control himself," a Demon said. Alexander was boiling with rage as he listened to all of their remarks.

Zephyr was rather getting angry, he knows Alexander's very short-tempered even when he doesn't show how angry he's, "Within two days, you must decide whether to make him your King or not. Consider not having his powers rendered useless," Zephyr murmured, and Alexander walked away quickly than he could, infuriated.

—------

"Do you know how to console my lady? She had been feeling sober ever since she discovered he might not arrive that day, "How can I console her? Has she locked herself in her room, which is why I haven't seen her? She does have to be so careful about not injuring herself before his return, "Well, she can't take it any longer; if it weren't for me, she'd be worse, "What did you suggest I do?"

"Please just mention something exciting about his impending arrival; she believed you. I can't watch her cry; it hurts me so much," Yivanne mumbled sadly. Zephyr raised his eyebrows at her, and seeing how terribly she was affected made him want to accept her pleas.

"Okay, I'll talk to her. But you should rest certain that he will be back soon, simply dealing with some urgent vital affairs," Zephyr stated reassuringly, causing Yivanne to flash him a small yet fleeting smile, making him want to stare deeply into her eyes.

—------

Zephyr approached Inara, who was sitting outside with a dool look, and asked, "May I sit with you? Or…, "I should allow you; I must admit I have been extremely angry these days. Maybe you could let me know when my husband will arrive, "Inara, at this point, I cannot continue lying to you, your husband might stay longer than he planned," Zephyr asserted, even though he was undoubtedly telling the truth, but Inara was enraged by his remarks.

"Why would it take more time? He said, just for two days. Do you know what's going on and would rather keep me in the dark?" Inara whispered, partly yelling, but she controlled herself, "Inara, I understand that he is your husband, but he needs to attend to some serious problems. I suppose that is why he has taken considerably longer than planned. Rest assured, he'd be back very soon, and I'm confident he'd have you to blame if he found out you hurt yourself for his sake," Zephyr remarked, comforting her, and Inara felt a little relieved.

—------

Inara could be seen angrily trying to write something, possibly due to her frustration with Alexander's extended absence.

She discarded the fourth sheet of paper onto which she had been attempting to write some words, but she failed those trials, and her heart aches.

The sixth piece of paper she wrote was caught by someone rather than falling to the floor; the person was surprised to find her attempting to write and asked, "Couldn't figure out how to write your sentences?" Alexander taunted, standing behind her, he holds a piece of paper in his hand. Inara would rather ignore him and focus on her practice.

"Wifey, it is not necessary to push yourself this hard," he smirked, forcing Inara to rise from her seat and greet him with a dazzling smile, "How are you?"

"I'm doing alright, I should be the one asking you that, wifey," Inara simply nodded in agreement, but then she went on tiptoes and placed a small peck on his cheek, freezing his eyes in astonishment.

When Inara stood up properly, she looked up at him and saw him frowning like when she had kissed his cheek for the first time. Why was he constantly frowning? Isn't he cheating on her by kissing another woman?

"You're frowning again; why were you upset the first time I kissed you and now? Do my lips taste that bad?" she questioned anxiously, and Alexander couldn't believe his ears; his wife is as innocent as a lamb.

"Things like that cannot happen or be discovered while I am not tasting your lips, "And why are you always frowning?"

"Because I prefer to make love to you rather a peck kiss, wifey. Your lips aren't something I enjoy feeling since anytime I feel it, makes me want to devour your body," he said hoarsely, and Inara gulped her saliva so hard.

"I don't really comprehend your phrase; what does 'Love Making' mean?" He asked, "Wifey, have you ever kissed a man before?" Inara shook her head negatively instantly, "Should I break my promise to you on our wedding night, then? I promise to wait till you're ready, but I can't wait any longer,"
