Chapter 29: Furious At Myself, Wifey

"Is my painting that horriful?" Inara pouted unhappily, and Alexander stopped laughing and stared at her for a few seconds, never saying anything, "You think your painting is quite horriful, wifey? Just my genuine answer, that I don't know," he mocked, and Inara nodded gently before walking away from him.

"Is my wife upset here? To call a spade a spade; your painting is quite horriful; but you're still doing great, just a matter of practice," he continued with a smile, and Inara turned her gaze at him for a time, but her eyes welled up with a series of tears, "Your eyes are teary-eyed; does my revelation upset you?"

"I've never seen you laugh before, and you astonished me; do you know what I'm glad for? Because I was able to make you laugh, I've been yearning to hear your laughter. The way you just acted for a moment brought out your handsomeness," Inara said, exhaling. Alexander began approaching her, their eyes never leaving each other, "It sounds wonderful and does ring a bell. Surprisingly, I find myself laughing because of you, wifey," Alexander mocked, inches away from her.

"Don't you have any reason to laugh? You rarely smile or laugh at anyone else, except me. Am I worthy of your laughter? The Young Master ridiculed me, questioning whether you genuinely meant what you said, "It's late already, you should go to bed early," Alexander said, smiling and walking up to the bed, "Unbelievable; you keep acting as if you married me just to obtain something from me!" she scoffed, and Alexander turned to the other side of the bed, his back to her.

When Inara awoke the next morning, she turned to see Alexander sat in the chair, "Have you been experiencing sleepless nights? It's evident you need enough rest, so I didn't wake you up, but opted to wait until you're awake," Alexander declared, Inara stared at him with a curious face, "Are you heading somewhere? Where to?"

"Actually, I have an urgent matter to attend, and I think you shouldn't be here either, "But I don't want to leave your side; I've been away from you for three days, I can tell I wasn't pleased that you had to send me away for my own protection. After all, it's not my fault I wasn't able to help," Inara spoke eloquently, with a tone that suggested pouting and sadness.

Alexander exchanged a gaze with her; it was obvious he couldn't understand why she kept thinking about the negative aspects of every move he made, "Wifey, could you make things easier for me? Continuing to focus on the negative aspects of my decisions will hinder progress. Additionally, I did not send you away voluntarily, "Please let me stay by your side, and I promise you that I won't be in danger,"

"I cannot ask you to do something you do not want to do; nevertheless, I will be departing for a meeting that may last longer than I anticipated. But I'll try to be back early," Alexander said, and Inara smiled shyly.

Zephyr arrived to Alexander outside Green Demonic Woods; his arrival was noted, even though Alexander wasn't expecting it, "Thought you were busy? Never would I have thought you could come," he remarked with a smirk, to which Zephyr simply laughed.

"Excuse me, De—I mean, Alex, I still wouldn't let you go there alone. My mate is trying to get everything in order until my arrival," Zephyr remarked, "Has she gotten her powers yet?"

"Certainly after our first mating; you don't need to be concerned about me…, "Who said I was concerned for you? Like I indicated before this occurrence, I won't watch after you, so I was only wondering how well she was doing. Consider myself out of your league," Alexander scoffed and tried to walk onward, but Zephyr's words slowed him down.

"Then I'll stop calling you 'Demon.' Would that benefit you? And…, "Remember, we are the same; that is of no use to me," Zephyr moaned at his response, following behind him.

"I ask to summon all of you; 'Descendants of the Green Demonic Woods to aid me in a war," Alexander declared calmly, and whispers resound across the air, "Unfortunately, we cannot, "He is willing to be the acting King for the time being, and how he rules will establish whether he is worthy of being King," Zephyr stated hastily, energizing the silence that had been there for a few minutes.

"Agreed; how do want us to help you, Great King?" they all knelt and bowed before Alexander.

Inara is shown wandering through a forest that appears to be much larger than any other forest, but Inara is unconcerned because she is looking for her own source of assistance.

It appears that she was being pursued, as she sensed weird footfall behind her. She pranced, but all her efforts were worthless; the sound continued to come the quicker she walked.

A powerful force yanked her off course, and she collapsed to her knees, gasping in pain. Two men approached her abruptly, and Inara's eyes widened in puzzlement; she had no idea who they were, "Why are you chasing after me?" she muttered, and one of them burst out laughing.

"Definitely, he doesn't tell you how many opponents surround him? Who is well-known to him, and who isn't?" one of the men remarked, with a mischievous smirk, "Our plans were never to hurt you, but we knew he'd hand you to us anyway. He gets what he wants at any cost, "What are you talking about?"

"He doesn't even value you as a wife; have you fallen for him yet? Have you fallen for someone who is willing to exchange you for what he wants?" Inara's eyebrows rose in surprise and perplexity as the man declared. Was everything accurate about him?

Inara let out a harsh scream as she saw four guys attempting to undress her. She felt terrified as they approached her and searched for a nearby weapon, but she found none.

"Please don't hurt me, I promise you that he'd return you a payback," Inara stuttering and muttering, but they ignored her appeals. they began unstrapping their garments, and when they finished, the rope bound around her body was intended to be loosened, but the leader saw a sword slide under his throat instead.

"Let her be, face me if you dare; then if you aren't worthy, should I believe of you being a coward?" Alexander scoffed darkly, the leader moved away from them, Alexander stared at them with bloody cold gaze.

"A long time ago, you were able to defeat 300 warriors by yourself, without any weapon, I could guess you were probably sixteen. How about you do the same?" the leader said mockingly, Alexander angrily rushed in between then, and in the next minute, he had killed hundred warriors, not with his sword, but hands.

The leader was quite shock, and ran for his life, leaving his surbodinate behind. When he approached her, they hurriedly ran off, "Why do you leave the palace, wifey?" he asked with a stren voice, much different than usual.

"It was bored," Inara lied, bitting her lower lip feverishly, "Bored to the extent that you nearly wants to get yourself killed?"

"I'm sorry, I just…., "Let's go home, I'm exhausted to endure your lies, wifey," he said, cutting her off coldly, before carrying her in a bridal style, "Are you upset with the way I…, "Just stop talking, don't make me behave the way you'd never wanted. I cannot accept your lies, because I'm furious at myself, wifey,"
