Chapter: 76: Intense battle (2)

The demon was still pressing with its claws that could destroy four star weapons easily, but still my unique weapon did not break, its third ability was to increase its hardness and sharpness the more mana and will I put into it was a skill based on the will trait adapted to the dagger, The demon retreated to gain momentum and attack me again, but I took advantage of the lack of contact and teleported a certain distance to its back.

Because the demon lost sight of me for a moment, I hid as best I could. At that moment, I scanned my body and I had deep wounds on my back.

Not only that, apparently the trait that made the purple demon mana had to do with poison, and it was very strong, enhanced with Demonic mana, which is a kind of poison by itself. Now with room to breathe I drank some mana, vitality and other stat boosting potions , I can't take care of these wounds passively so I started chanting:

"I call upon the forces of heavenly light,

to the pure rays that illuminate the heavens."

At that moment, the demon seemed to locate me and launched a barrage of attacks at me. I dodged them, but did not stop chanting.

"With the power of the stars and the grace of the stars,

"healing wounds visible and invisible,

purifying body, mind and spirit.

So be it."

"Blessing of the Lesser Eternal Light."

A healing spell of the light element imbued with the regeneration trait, making it more effective, as well as will and holy, to ward off poison and demonic mana trail. My wound began to heal quickly, but the wind blades came at me without giving me a break.

"Filthy human, what are you, why do you have so many elements and traits, how can darkness and light reside in one body?"

The concealment trait is strong, but only if they are not looking for you. Due to the urgency of the situation, the concealment spell was only three stars.

Besides, the demon was actively searching for me, so it was only a matter of time. Although I tried to conceal it, the mana from the healing spell attracted its attention. The difference in rank also played a role in him locating me.

"Are you an apostle of the gods, of the light? How can you easily cast spells of higher rank than you and also be so fast? What kind of abomination are you? Such a thing should not exist even with the help of the gods."

The demon was unhinged, hurling his complaints at me. 'How rude of him for a demon with such a grotesque appearance to call me an abomination,' as, through my Eyes of Truth, I noticed that his mana was running low. Perhaps that is why he now wants to take the fight to physical combat. The demon looked desperate and continued to complain to me.

It's true that people can usually only cast spells of their rank and, if they are talented, spells of a higher rank, but that's only if they are affordable ranks. A rank two casting three star spells is something, but a rank three star casting a four star spell is another matter.

It could only be done if you are a 100% mage, meaning all your stats are set to intelligence. Besides, it would take forever to chant the spell.

That's where the will and acceleration traits come in. The will trait allows me to easily visualize runes and operations by shortening the chant, and acceleration allows me to cast them faster.

Even if there were someone with three stars who could chant a medium elemental arcane spell (five stars), it would take several minutes to complete.

For my part, it only takes me a few seconds, something the demon cannot accept. My chanting a five-star spell is equal to him chanting one of his own rank. But after chanting two 5-star spells, as well as several three-star spells I was starting to run out of mana.

I was recovering mana faster due to regeneration, but still only enough to cover the expense of maintaining the tempest armor , so I took advantage of the demon's complaining moments, to attack him, but he noticed. he roared in fury and lunged towards me with surprising speed.

Its blackish claws cut through the air, seeking to tear me apart. I felt the pressure of its power, its overwhelming force, but I did not back down. I knew my only chance was to use my agility and experience to even things out.

Art of Heavenly Punishment

While fighting against the demon I made sure to make my mana flow through my body following the art of celestial punishment which is the most agile I have While it is true that the arts have attack movements, that is only a part of it the most important of the arts are not the attack postures but their use to improve the movements and the body during the battles, so during the fight with the demon I moved fluidly and quickly.

The arts did not consume as much mana as the spells so they are of better performance in a prolonged battle.

Art of the Sun God, Second Stance: Brilliant Dawn

Taking advantage of an opening moment, with one of my daggers and launched a quick slash towards his arm. The blade, imbued with the power of light and lightning , shone brightly and sliced through the demonic flesh, leaving a wound that sizzled with holy and sealing energy. The demon roared in pain, recoiling momentarily.

"You puny human!" it bellowed, its voice echoing with anger. "You'll accomplish nothing with cheap tricks."

She knew she could not match his brute strength, but she could wear him down, take advantage of every mistake, every opening. Taking advantage of his agitation and fury.

The demon charged again, launching a flurry of brutal blows. I used my Acceleration Trait, moving at great speed, dodging and deflecting his attacks with my daggers. I felt the impact of their blows echoing through the wind even if they didn't hit me, the force behind them almost knocking me down, but I kept my concentration.

Art of Celestial Punishment, First Posture: withering impact.

When I found an opening, I kicked him in his stomach with the art causing serious damage.

Usually the arts have a specific weapon that they work best with, the case of the elemental knight is a unique case where he is very flexible in the use of weapons, but the art of the sun god used a sword as a weapon and the art of celestial punishment used a spear.

But I long ago overcame those limitations and the demon who was concentrating on my slashing moves didn't expect me to throw such a lethal kick.

"Enough!" he shouted, concentrating his remaining mana on what seemed like his last attack . His claws darkened even more, and he launched a strike towards me with full force and at a greater speed than ever before .

There was no room to dodge or mana to teleport so I gambled. With a final effort, I used my Will Trait to strengthen my body and mind.

Art of the Sun God, Third Posture: Radiance

My daggers lit up with a blinding light, and I crossed my daggers, blocking his attack. The collision of energies echoed through the air, and I felt my bones creak under the pressure, but I did not yield. With a shout, I pushed forward, the third stance was counter-attacking movement allowed me to repel his attack by opening his guard.

Art of the Eclipse, first posture, blood moon

This is the strongest art and one that I myself create and my first stance I named it based on who I was aiming to use it on.

A crescent of blood was formed as a result of cutting the demon in half there was no sound there was no glow no explosions it was just a simple cut, just a cut.

The demon roared in pain, its dark aura began to dissipate and returning to its original form, due to its vitality it was still alive, but that was temporary

"Hu-huma..no.... h-how is it possib..." With a final sigh, the demon fell to the ground.

I stood there, breathing heavily, feeling the adrenaline still coursing through my veins. It had been a difficult battle.
