Time skip

Author's note: Let's take another time skip because most things that happen during this time are just torture.

Pov Dia,

We've finally completed that grueling training. Three years of enduring hardship where we suffered every day. It's quite an achievement not to have lost one's head. I feel like it would have been quicker to just remove our nervous systems, but Sensei Scathach's goal isn't to inflict pain on us but rather to prevent that pain from hindering us.

Scathach: "Life would be less cool if you no longer had your nervous system."

Dia: "We almost lost him because of you."

Scathach: "It's true that without me, you wouldn't have any sensation left. But you can still use your five senses perfectly and feel everything, albeit without it being a hindrance."

But besides enduring pain and poison, we also had to work on our five senses. Occasionally, we had to carry out daily activities without any light. Living in a place where the smell was unbearable and enduring various other training constraints.

Because of all these experiences, I almost advanced in my devil rank. I feel that with a little more time, I could make the breakthrough.

Rimuru and Sera have ascended to Ultimate-Class Devils, even though Rimuru isn't a devil, he's at least at an equivalent level. Even though three years have passed, I still share the same thoughts as Sera about preferring to be a slime.

While we were enduring, Rimuru must have deciphered the meaning or intentions of a person just by looking at them for a second. At least now, Rimuru would be able to understand anyone, even if that person shows no emotion.

This training has greatly aided her in her maid training since she can now start executing my orders without me having to say them. The maids are truly remarkable.

Rimuru: "Yes, that's the case. A maid must be slightly weaker than their master unless the master lacks skills and potential."

I didn't say anything.

Dia: "I've already told you many times, but stop arguing with me when I haven't even started the conversation."

I could even converse with Rimuru without having to speak. It's unnerving for anyone, especially for me.

But understanding the intentions of others wasn't Rimuru's only training; she also had to work very hard on mastering [Divide Dividing] and the katana.

The positive point of her training is that she had to endure with us the training in resistance to sacred or light attacks. I think it was the worst torture because the sacred power burned us to the nervous system, but our great regeneration repaired it. It hurt so much, even Rimuru, who isn't supposed to suffer, was in pain.

Now, for instance, we know how to wield a sacred spear made by angels or the fallen without letting it go. We could use their weapons against them.

But there are several negative aspects. Firstly, we suffered from pain, but it's bearable. Secondly, it's very hard to hold a weapon when our hand decomposes and recomposes so quickly; the sacred weapon always attacks us with our hands at the end. Finally, there's this burning smell, and it's not pleasant to the nose, even if we've experienced worse smells.

At the moment, I was at the training field with Scathach-sensei, Rimuru, and Sera because I was going to show them my new archery technique.

To shoot normally, once we learned the runes, it was simpler. We just had to solidify the arrow and for the part of the rope, put a rune of elasticity.

I trained very hard to reach my target, some self the distance or position where I was, without having a point of support.

Scathach: "You took your time developing this technique. I remind you that you've been working on it for four years. "

Dia: "Give me time to familiarize myself with the runes and train properly so that I master the technique."

I took a deep breath and started my technique.
