"Well, pardon me for asking. Your brother seems to like my sister more than me. He probably thinks I'm a potato." She shrugged. 

Ji Yuzhe pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache coming his way. It didn't occur to him that Feng Suyin moved to his side, her face inching closer towards his, catching him off-guard. 

“I might be a potato, but at least I’ll be your sweet potato.”

"I heard about the little trick you pulled on the Feng family," Chairman Bai mentioned, immediately making Feng Suyin uncomfortable in her seat. She didn't want her husband's grandfather to think that she was a malicious woman who likes to instigate trouble to anyone.

Her palms grew clammy as she struggled to maintain her composure. She could feel his scrutinizing gaze, probing into her innermost thoughts. Clearing her throat, Feng Suyin steadied herself and met the elderly man's eyes.

"Chairman Bai, I assure you, it was just clearing some misunderstanding between me and my sister. I would never intentionally cause trouble to Ji Yuzhe and to your family."

Chairman Bai raised an eyebrow, his expression inscrutable as he looked at her.

"You have to be careful when dealing with a bunch of snakes, Miss Feng. They will not hesitate to bite and poison you to death if they perceive you as a threat."
