Irregular Behavior

The forest was quiet, the kind of silence that felt alive with tension.

The trees were tall and gnarled, their thick canopies casting the ground in perpetual shadow. Only slivers of sunlight managed to pierce through, dancing faintly on the undergrowth.

Rem led the way, his sharp gaze scanning the path ahead for any threats. Luke and Kiara followed close behind, their steps soft and cautious.

"Do you think we'll find another dungeon out here?" Luke asked, his tone light but edged with curiosity.

"Dungeons don't pop up everywhere," Rem replied, glancing back at him. "But don't let your guard down. This forest has its own dangers."

Kiara adjusted the grip on her dagger, her expression wary. "We've already taken down a few monsters. Shouldn't that have scared the rest off?"

Rem smirked faintly. "Monsters don't scare easily. They're territorial. If they're not attacking us, it's because they're watching and waiting for the right moment."
