Into The Abyss

The cave was eerily silent, save for the heavy breathing of those inside.

The walls were rough and damp, jagged edges forming uneven shadows in the dim light of the cave. Though they had found temporary shelter, none of them felt truly safe.

The air was thick with the lingering presence of monsters, their erratic movements still echoing in their minds. There was fear in the air and it wasn't going to be resolved while that Dungeon gate was still around.

Luke and Kiara sat near the back, their hands still gripping their weapons, adrenaline refusing to let them relax.

Kiara had her dagger resting on her thigh, absently tracing its edge, while Luke stared at the ground with a blank expression, deep in thought.

The adventurers weren't much better off.

Lila was pacing, her fingers clenched tightly around her staff. Markus was clutching his wounded arm, wincing as he wrapped it in cloth, while Toren cleaned his blade with slow, deliberate movements.
