Chapter 33

Chapter 33

Feeling the cold gaze of Kim Hae-yoon, Cha Seo-yoon felt her body trembling in fear. With just a simple look, she felt a weight comparable to tons of metals wearing her shoulders as the very thought of even standing seemed like an impossible feat.

Cha Seo-yoon took a breath, stealing every single molecule of oxygen left in place where she's left to stand as she quivered.

Kim Hae-yoon didn't even release her pheromones, which in most cases, no matter how barbaric, would've been a plausible solution to assert an alpha's dominance over another towards those that dare to covet their omega.

'Amazing.' Cha Seo-yoon looked at Kim Hae-yoon in a different light, her eyes, smiling despite finding the difficulty to even gaze back into those deep dark eyes that would devour her if she took a breath. 'Truly amazing.'

Seeing the looks of admiration of Cha Seo-yoon as she looked back at the frowning empress, Kim Hae-yoon sighed and closed her eyes.

Calming herself for the unreasonable and foolishness she'd displayed due to a sudden rush of uncontrolled feelings that spewed out when she noticed that the eyes that Cha Seo-yoon's fluttered were not out of admiration for her or Cho Shiye but something even more deeply romantic.

Cho Shiye, who was left standing between the two clashing women who seemed to be fighting over something nonsensical, blushed when she realized what had called her and as she felt the warm hand slowly explored the side of her waist, her brain seemed to malfunction.

"A-ahem." Cho Shiye spoke out, looking at Kim Hae-yoon with a piercing gaze, trying to communicate with Kim Hae-yoon through her eyes. Her cheeks were painted red as Kim Hae-yoon looked back at her, their eyes met and Kim Hae-yoon's eyes softened, seemingly smiling, as she looked back at her in confusion.

"Yes, my dear?" Kim Hae-yoon asked in a hush tone, her voice ringing into Cho Shiye's head, making the back of her neck reddened and heated up due to an unknown reason.

My dear. A word that speaks volumes that, to Kim Hae-yoon, may be an easy word to speak as it felt so natural and casual that it made Cho Shiye frown.

With her cheeks beet red, Cho Shiye turned around to face Kim Hae-yoon, looking into this moronic woman who's smiles were wide and sweet. Pinching her waist, Kim Hae-yoon winced, feeling the pain as she laughed.

Cho Shiye laid her hands on Kim Hae-yoon's shoulder, feeling the soft and coolness that her body exudes as she slowly pulled Kim Hae-yoon to her height. Feeling the breath against her ears, Kim Hae-yoon's heart beated loudly, her mouth curling into a crescent as she felt her stomach churn.

"Don't do or say that in public." Cho Shiye said sternly, pushing Kim Hae-yoon's face to meet hers as she smiled.

Kim Hae-yoon merely nodded, unable to come up for any reply as her head was filled with Cho Shiye's soft and cold tone of voice, she shivered as she stood like a fool with the biggest grin, blushing as Cho Shiye smiled in satisfaction and left to greet Cha Seo-yoon.

Cha Seo-yoon who was watching the two from the very beginning felt the sticky atmosphere from the imperial couple that, if she could have a knife at her disposal, it would still be quite a tedious task to be able to even finish a cut.

'Is this how married couples should be?' Cha Seo-yoon thought as she seemed enlightened, feeling a heavy sense of happiness rest between her heart as she observed the two. 'Yes, that's how it should be.'

"Are you violinist Cha Seo-yoon?" Cho Shiye asked with a soft smile, her eyes glistening with excitement as she try to tone it down and in fact, hide it, as Cha Seo-yoon snapped back to reality.

"Yes, your royal consort." Cha Seo-yoon bowed her head, greeting Cho Shiye in an orderly manner, as she smiled back at her as she raised her face to meet hers. "How did you like my performance?" She asked curiously.

"Oh! I love it!" Cho Shiye replied in glee, her hand closed tightly, gripping her gloves in excitement.

"Oh," Cha Seo-yoon paused, once again, she was enthralled by Cho Shiye's beauty as she smiled ear to ear, excitedly answering her question as her eyes held deep admiration that left Cha Seo-yoon in a deep thought.

'Were those feelings of hers directed at my work or was it directed towards m—'

Cha Seo-yoon felt the sharp and uncomfortable gaze yet again as she shook down her thoughts and smiled back at Cho Shiye. "I'm glad your highness enjoyed it." She replied curtly.

"No, no, I didn't just enjoy it. I love it and feel it deep within my soul!" Cho Shiye replied as she held Cha Seo-yoon's hands, unaware of the angry woman who's staring daggers towards Cha Seo-yoon. "How can you make them soulful? How can your music bring out sadness and happiness deep within people's hearts? What were the secrets of your magical talent? Can you sign me an autograph? Can we take pictures? Can we? Can we?"

Cha Seo-yoon, who was bombarded with millions of questions, felt dazed. She was backed into a corner by Cho Shiye with nowhere to escape, those shining beautiful eyes of the woman in front of her that she started to admire felt like the lenses of the cameras that people held to take a glimpse of her.

Overwhelmed, she looked at Kim Hae-yoon in a last attempt and a dire need for help as Kim Hae-yoon sighed and smiled. Holding Cho Shiye's shoulders, she slowly closed the distance between each other's faces.

"Shiye." Kim Hae-yoon whispered in a sultry tone, looking at Cho Shiye's eyes alluringly. Cho Shiye looked back at her, jolting in shock as she felt the back of her skin crawl.

Looking into Kim Hae-yoon's eyes then slowly looked down into those lips, plastered in red lipsticks, that spoke her name, she blushed and coughed. Taking her eyes away from the lips that's filling her head with filth.

Gulping, Cho Shiye opened her mouth. ".... Yes?" She asked as Kim Hae-yoon smiled slyly at her.

Cha Seo-yoon watched the scene unfold, sighing a breath of relief as the empress' consort's attention was taken away from her but felt a bitter tang on her mouth seeing the two acting so sweetly towards one another, making her stomach churn in delight and bitterness, that even a simple gesture such as a gaze felt like a romantic endeavor of the two.

'Your Majesty! I asked you for help not to feed me with dog food!' Cha Seo-yoon cried out. 'But… Thanks, though!'
