Chapter 1

Office. pile of files everywhere. you could barely see the man standing with the desk. you couldn't say he was short but with all of this mess around he was barely noticeable. man is sitting with the desk with the folder in his hands. the light coming from the window hits his brown hair. he was bothered by the sun so he decided to close the binders.

its quiet in the room. few minutes and everything will change into chaos.

Vincent Storm, known detective for his success and horrible attitude. a man who never worked with anyone, was like a shadow, almost never showing his face, never talking much and never showing himself.

that man who hated working in teams, was now waiting for his partner who would solve the case with him.

as the man was sitting at the desk with folder in his hand, there was a knock on the door. Vincent sighed. His new partner was there.

-come on in_ he said coldly.

and the door opened, revealing the person behind it. A familiar face. Vincent's expression changed, he didn't seem to be happy by a sudden appear of someone familiar.

on the other hand, the other men also froze when he saw Vincent. he swore quietly and then said:

-for fucks sake why are you here? why do you always get in my way?

-i should be the one asking that, percy..Mr percy _ disgust appeared on Vincent's face when he said that.

both men looked at each other furiously. Vincent rushed to the phone, entered the number and then called. he talked for a while, yelled a bit and after finishing the call, he sat down with his desk while sighing.

silence. even more silence. look around. mess

-why does it has to be you? but I guess I've got no choice but accept my fate. _ Vincent looked furious still.

percy didn't seem to like it either.

- don't look at me as if it's my fault. do I look like I want to be here?

more silence.

Vincent threw that file at percy, the one he was holding just few minutes ago.

- here. read it and tell me what you think.

Percy catches the file, flipped through it as he got to know to the case. silence. even more flipping noises. silence.

-I see. so you're stuck, you're helpless. I knew your pride would get hurt one day. I can't, you were so helpless that you called for me?

- quit talking nonsense. did you read it all.

- yes I did, of course. I see what's going on. so basically you're chasing down a dude who drugged a cashier, stole bunch of money and then killed that cashier?

- yeah, kind of.

- and there are no footage.

- if you weren't reading it with your eyes closed you could see that no, the wires of the main entrance cameras were cut down and the power was out. there's just not enough evidence of him stealing other than janitor's testimony. besides, no one will believe since janitor was in the storage room, asleep by the time suspect breaked in.

- I see. can we visit that store again so I can see it with my eyes? I need to get to know to everything in the case. I have to have all the information.
