Chapter 593: System Data and Points

On the evening of his return, the Andy family gathered together for a meal. However, the atmosphere at this dinner was not as relaxed and happy as usual, but instead there was a hint of gravity.

But there was nothing they could do about it; after all, Voldemort was the topic of conversation at this dinner!

Who could be happy talking about Voldemort?

Well...maybe the Death Eaters would be happy.

But normal people wouldn't like this topic.

In fact, the Andy family was still doing quite well.

The house has been protected by the Fidelius Charm, with the secret keeper for it being Hermione.

Andy's other relatives are currently staying in another villa protected by the Fidelius Charm, with Andy as the secret keeper for it.

At least when they are at home, everyone's safety is guaranteed.

Kyle now commutes to work every day using the Portkey, and unless Voldemort captures the Ministry, he will not be in danger.

Kyle is also radiant when it comes to talking about work.

"If all goes well, the Quidditch World Cup will be held on our side. The Minister spoke to Dumbledore the other day, and Dumbledore is likely to attend in person."

Kyle is also very emotional when talking about this.

During the last wizard war, he had fled abroad with his family to seek refuge. Although he was far away from danger, he also lost his future in the Ministry of Magic because of this.

But now, the situation is completely different!

His boss, Barty Crouch, was forced to give up competing for the Minister of Magic position thirteen years ago because of his son. Later, he was imprisoned in Azkaban by the Ministry of Magic for unlawfully freeing his son.

During Voldemort's attack on Azkaban, Barty Crouch Sr. was killed by his own son.

This is really messed up!

On the other hand, Kyle Collins has also been re-evaluated highly by the Ministry of Magic because of his son.

Because Andy can fight Voldemort alone!

In the current situation where Voldemort has made a comeback, the combat power of wizards is the most important capital.

Kyle is responsible for negotiating with other countries about hosting the Quidditch World Cup final.

Once Kyle has completed this task, he may be promoted to the position of Head of the Department of International Magical Co-operation.

"Be careful!"

Andy can't help reminding him, "The Dark Lord is a madman, and he might personally lead someone to cause trouble at the Quidditch World Cup final."

After leaving Hogwarts, Andy stopped arrogantly calling Voldemort by his name.

What if he senses it?

"Well, that's not my problem!"

Kyle said with a relaxed tone, "Our Department of International Magical Co-operation is only responsible for negotiations, while the Department of Magical Games and Sports is responsible for hosting the tournament, and it is the job of the Aurors to defend against the Dark Lord."

"We all have our own responsibilities!"

Andy rolled his eyes at this.

That's a good argument!

After a moment's thought, Andy suddenly asked, "Will the Ministry of Magic in other countries provide us with support?"

"Of course they will!"

Kyle explained, "Once the Dark Lord has won the war, he will quickly turn his attention to other parts of Europe, and that will be bad for everyone."

"But...international support? Well, it's just something to be heard, and it's not really going to happen. They won't send anyone over here anytime soon."

"Encouragement (cheering) from behind?" Andy raised an eyebrow.

Kyle gave him a thumbs-up, "A perfect comparison!"

"By the way, I have something to tell you."

Kyle suddenly said in a mysterious tone, "You know about the Durmstrang Institute of Magic, right? It is reported that their Headmaster, Igor Karkaroff, has gone missing!"

"I heard that he was a Death Eater," Helen asked curiously.

"That's right!"

Kyle nodded. "I heard it from a colleague. Back then, Karkaroff was arrested, but he secretly reached an agreement with Crouch, and in exchange for betraying his accomplices, he was granted amnesty."

Andy: "…"

Kyle continued, "Because of this incident, the scheduled Triwizard Tournament was also cancelled."

After chatting with his family, Andy gained a clear understanding of the situation in the wizarding world.

Although the battle at the Ministry of Magic restored the confidence of some people, most people still weren't brave enough to confront the Death Eaters.

Although the Ministry of Magic was determined to fight Voldemort, it was the job of the Aurors and Hit-Wizards to hunt down the Death Eaters. Apart from a few people, how many others dared to really hunt down the Death Eaters?

How could they not be afraid of arresting someone and finding Voldemort?

It was the norm to do the bare minimum.

The Ministry of Magic's work efficiency was pitifully low.

Several Aurors even died in the line of duty—because they really did find Voldemort.

"Speaking of which... Andy, you really did deal a heavy blow to the prestige of the Dark Lord last time."

Kyle said while drinking his wine. "It is reported that the forces that were originally considering joining the Dark Lord had all become hesitant. During this period, the Dark Lord has made several moves and killed many people."

Andy heard this and spread his hands, saying, "Don't count on me too much. I'm still a student, and I have to spend most of my time at Hogwarts."

Kyle asked, "What are your plans for this summer holiday?"

Andy raised an eyebrow, puzzled, and asked, "Why? Did someone tell you to ask me for something?"

"Smart!"

Kyle laughed, "Do you want to work part-time at the Ministry of Magic?"

"Unfortunately, I'm afraid I won't have time in July."

Andy shrugged and casually said, "I need a month or so to practice a new magic."

"Besides, since it's our holiday, Dumbledore is also on holiday; I think the Dark Lord will also calm down for a while."

Kyle didn't say much after hearing this.

Because Voldemort had indeed been a lot more low-key in the past two days. In the last two days before Hogwarts' holiday, Voldemort had quickly finished most of his urgent tasks.

Because a certain someone would be going on holiday.

Helen, however, asked cautiously, "Andy, what kind of magic are you planning to study?"

"Well…something to do with the mind," Andy explained.

Helen let out a sigh of relief.

As long as it wasn't dark magic or some other incredibly dangerous magic, she could rest easy.

After dinner, Andy washed up and returned to the bedroom.

Lying on the bed, Andy opened the system panel.

[Potential Points: 6]

Left-hand side data:

[Charms: 7]

[Transfiguration: 6]

[Dark Magic: 6]

[Alchemy: 3]

[Divination: 3]

Right-hand side data:

[Magic: 4]

[Constitution: 4]

[Soul: 5]

[Mind: 6]

[Thought: 6]

[Will: 7]

Compared to three years ago, the current data is dazzling.

Two attributes have gone up to seven points, and four attributes have gone up to six points.

Although these numbers cannot represent Andy's strength, they do represent his potential and upper limit.

In particular, the attributes [Soul], [Mind], and [Will] directly represent the strength of the Fat Cat Patronus.

After looking at it for a while, Andy closed the system panel.

He certainly felt accomplished!

'I'll add points tomorrow... Time to sleep!'
