Naturally, the so-called discussion led nowhere.
The group knew neither Voldemort's plan nor Dumbledore's. The only thing they could do now was to improvise and trust Dumbledore.
After a few brief exchanges, the group dispersed.
As he walked out of the room, Andy glanced down the stairs.
Hermione and Isabel were in the living room on the ground floor, drinking juice and whispering to each other.
Harry and Ron hadn't gone out either. Ron was still going on about 'Krum' or something while Harry was listening with a face filled with agony. But as soon as it touched on other teams, Harry would also get excited and join in the discussion.
Andy walked downstairs. "What were you talking about?"
Isabel narrowed her eyes at Andy. "We were talking about some stuff from when you were little."
Andy: "…"
"How old are you? How would you know about stuff from my childhood?" Andy was speechless.
"Mum told me, and Grandma told me too," Isabel said seriously.
Andy: "..."
Andy thought carefully for a moment. He didn't think he had any dark past when he was little... or did he?
He didn't!
After all, he had remembered his previous life memories from the start.
Hermione laughed softly and gave Andy a strange look but didn't say anything.
Andy felt a little uncomfortable at this look and asked, "Isa, you're not making things up, right?"
"I'm telling the truth!"
Isabel hurriedly said, "Mum told me that when you were little, you were very curious about everything. Once, you even asked her to use a spell on you."
"And…"
"Okay, stop," Andy interrupted.
At that time, Andy did do some stupid things to test the authenticity of magic.
Just thinking about it gave him a toothache.
"Were you guys talking about the Dark Lord?" Hermione interjected.
"Mm-hm," Andy nodded, pulling over a chair next to Isabel and pouring himself a glass of juice.
"Andy, I've been thinking about this a lot lately."
Hermione leaned in and whispered, "I think that whatever plans the Dark Lord has, the first thing he needs to consider is his own prestige."
Andy was taken aback. "You mean..."
"That's right!"
After thinking for a while, Andy analysed along the lines of Hermione's train of thought: "After the battle at the Ministry of Magic, Voldemort abandoned his previous soft tactics and forcibly gathered many forces to his side."
"If those people hesitated for even a second, Voldemort would not have hesitated to kill them."
Hermione nodded. "Yes! The Dark Lord's prestige is no longer enough to intimidate the Death Eaters, so he can only use vicious methods to deter them from disobeying him."
"But think about it: what if the Dark Lord loses again?"
"That's not impossible!" Andy exclaimed.
Andy had always known that everyone in the wizarding world feared Voldemort, but he had never analysed the situation from Voldemort's perspective.
Yes, Voldemort had lost a lot of his prestige.
He urgently needed to regain his former glory, and the way to do that was to kill Andy and Dumbledore.
Well…and maybe Harry as well.
But Voldemort didn't dare to take action lightly.
If he once again ended up deadlocked with Andy, everyone except the Death Eaters, who were absolutely loyal to him, would probably switch sides.
Voldemort's force would collapse in an instant!
"So...what do you think?" Andy asked curiously.
Hermione lowered her voice and whispered, "Unless he wants to take a gamble, he wouldn't try to challenge you right now."
Andy felt a little pleased.
"I never thought I would become one of the people Voldemort fears the most." Andy smiled a little proudly.
"And..."
Hermione continued without bothering to answer, "Andy, you killed some Death Eaters during the Battle at the Ministry of Magic, so the Dark Lord probably won't risk sending more Death Eaters to deal with you."
Andy thought about it carefully.
Hermione did have a point.
The World Cup site might easily become a hotbed of chaos, but it was also packed with powerful people—Aurors, Hit Wizards, the Order of the Phoenix members, representatives of various countries, and powerful witches and wizards in the audience.
If Andy could prevent Voldemort from getting past him, his Death Eaters would suffer heavy losses.
Voldemort could not afford to lose so many of his followers!
"But Voldemort will definitely take action to restore his lost prestige."
Andy said. "We have previously speculated about two places: the World Cup site... and the Ministry of Magic."
"But..."
Andy frowned as he continued, "If Voldemort worries about me, he will definitely worry even more about Dumbledore. So the places we can think of are definitely not his targets."
In that case, the previous analysis would have to be completely overturned.
Hermione nodded and whispered her analysis: "I guess the real goal of the Dark Lord is probably Hogwarts. You and Dumbledore are the biggest obstacles for him."
"Oh, and Harry."
"He probably won't make a move until he gets rid of you two."
"So, we should stop him from making some mess in Hogwarts."
Hearing this, Andy had a headache.
He had to admit that Hermione was right.
Voldemort might really play dirty tricks to deal with Andy and Dumbledore.
"Never mind, we'll just have to improvise!"
After a moment's thought, Andy said a little irritably, "School is a place for learning. If Voldemort dares to hinder my studies, I will search the wizarding world to find a way to make him pay!"
Hermione: "..."
This is the Andy she knows.
"Are you two done talking?"
Isabel, who had been sitting quietly, urged, "Andy, take me out for a stroll! I haven't been out to play for a long time."
"It's crowded outside. What's the fun in that?" Andy was feeling lazy and didn't want to move.
"I just looked out the door."
Isabel said excitedly. "There are people selling snacks, toys, and souvenirs. Andy, take me out to have a look!"
"Okay!"
Andy sighed and got up, saying, "Then let's go for a walk! Isa, hold my hand to make sure you don't get lost."
Isabel pouted and said in a long-drawn-out voice, "I get it – what a pain! I'm all grown up; I'll be old enough to go to Hogwarts in two years."
Andy: "…"
He patted the little girl's head and promised, "I'll definitely defeat Voldemort before you go to school!"
"Really?" Isabel couldn't contain her excitement.
She had already started to fantasise about what would happen if Andy defeated Voldemort. Wouldn't she, as Andy's sister, be able to rule Hogwarts with an iron fist?
Who would dare to mess with her?
"Of course it's true!"
Andy grinned, raising an eyebrow. "It's just that, after I graduate, I plan to stay on as a professor, so I should be able to teach you for five or six years."
Isabel: "…"
"Let's go!" After a little joke, Andy took Isabel's hand and left the tent with Hermione.
