Chapter 647: A Forgotten Death Eater

In the world, there are two kinds of people whose words cannot be trusted:

Politicians and journalists.

They will say anything for money without the slightest scruples.

Rita Skeeter showed no sign of shame at being exposed as a liar. She said with a straight face, "I know what kind of topic will attract the most attention... I can portray you as a hero in the wizarding world and get everyone to support you."

Andy: "..."

Andy was a little puzzled when he heard this.

What kind of image do I have in the minds of these people?

The Draco Malfoy guy can be forgiven; he was just a child, and what he did was, at best, just childish shenanigans.

But why did this woman say such a thing?

Could it be that I am really a dark lord, and I just didn't know it yet?

Andy thought about it and decided there was no harm in helping her out.

Despite her crazy appearance and eccentric clothes, Rita Skeeter is a very influential journalist. She has even sold more books than the conman, Lockhart.

This shows that many people in the wizarding world 'believe' in her reports.

Most importantly, she has a lot of secrets about important people.

That is the most valuable thing.

"What are the Death Eaters doing in the alley?" Andy asked.

"I didn't dare to get too close..."

Rita Skeeter spoke haltingly, "You know, those people are crazy-"

Andy got up and was about to leave.

"Wait!"

Rita Skeeter hurriedly said, "I really don't know what they're planning... Borgin and Burkes is an alchemy shop; I can't go near there."

Oh, is that so. Now, I am 99% confident you are an insect or rat Animagus.

Andy instantly understood.

For a skilled alchemist, creating a surveillance alchemical artefact is not difficult.

"You mean, they went to Borgin's?" Andy asked again.

"Yes!"

Rita Skeeter said with certainty, "Only important Death Eaters went there, and everyone else stood guard outside. They went there many times, and each time they stayed inside for a long time."

Andy was silent on hearing this.

So, Voldemort's next plan may involve a certain alchemical artefact?

"What else?"

Andy asked. "Any other news?"

"Which area would you wish to know about?" Rita Skeeter was confident in that aspect, and no one could doubt this aspect of her expertise.

"Voldemort!" Andy said.

Rita Skeeter: "..."

"This is difficult; I don't even know where he is right now."

Rita Skeeter looked troubled. "But I know the secrets involved in the last wizard war. By the way, the Ministry of Magic has been infiltrated by You-Know-Who people. Pius Thicknesse...yes, he's definitely the one!"

"He is?" Andy nodded slightly.

He is the current head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

"Compile the confidential information on the last wizard war and give it to me."

After saying this, Andy asked, "How do you want me to help you?"

Rita Skeeter was overjoyed upon hearing this and quickly said, "I need a house that is secure enough... and, if necessary, you must come to my rescue in time."

"Of course, I can exchange information as compensation."

"You have a lot of nerve." Andy was a little speechless.

From the sound of it, she was prepared to continue to risk her life.

"I love my job," Rita Skeeter said with full fighting spirit.

How dedicated!

Andy gave her a thumbs-up in his heart.

After thinking for a moment, Andy took out a bronze knut from his pocket, cast a spell, and threw it to Rita Skeeter.

"When you need it, channel your magic into it."

Andy said, "But I'll be returning to school soon, so you'd better be careful."

"Thank you!"

Rita Skeeter solemnly put away the bronze knut. "The house…"

"I'll cast some wards," Andy sighed.

***

Ordinary defensive spells were not difficult for Andy.

After dealing with Rita Skeeter, Andy did not hurry home.

If she had not mentioned the Death Eaters today, Andy would have almost forgotten about someone.

Pop!

Andy's figure appeared out of nowhere in a deserted place.

Looking at the unconscious Death Eater lying in the corner, Andy let out a sigh of relief.

He's still alive...

After the fusion of his mind and magic, his magic power has indeed become much stronger. Even the simplest stunning spell is enough to keep someone unconscious for several days.

"He really isn't someone important..."

Andy muttered, then used the Apparition spell again to bring the Death Eater to the Shrieking Shack.

Once the stunning spell was cancelled, the pain in his body immediately woke the Death Eater up.

"Ah! Hiss..."

After a few screams and groans, the Death Eater finally came to his senses.

He looked around, and when he saw Andy, he immediately understood his situation.

He had been captured!

"What's your name?" Andy asked without further ado.

"Amycus... Amycus Carrow," the Death Eater, also known as Amycus Carrow, said quickly.

Andy thought for a moment.

He hadn't heard of him before, so he didn't think he was an important character.

"Do you have anything you want to tell me?" Andy asked again.

On hearing this, Carrow no longer felt sleepy.

He looked at Andy with hope in his eyes and said, "If I betray the Dark Lord, he will never let me go... You must promise to keep me safe."

Andy nodded. "I can promise that Voldemort will never kill you."

Carrow: "..."

Do you take me for a child?

"You can't kill me either; you have to promise me," Carrow demanded.

This...

Andy hesitated.

Carrow's face turned dark when he saw this; sure enough, this guy did not intend to let me go.

"You can hand me over to Dumbledore or the Ministry of Magic," Carrow suggested.

"You think we're on the same side?"

Andy laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Mr Carrow, you may not know it yet, but you've been unconscious for a day and a night."

Carrow's face paled.

If it had been a day and a night, that meant Andy had no intention of handing him over to the Ministry.

"I advise you to tell the truth…"

Andy suggested. "I have many ways to get the information I need from your mind, but…it will be painful for you."

"Collins…" Carrow's face stiffened.

He suddenly remembered what Barty Crouch Jr. had said: Andy didn't mind using the Killing Curse on a Death Eater at the first opportunity.

In other words, he was not like Dumbledore.

Amycus Carrow, a Death Eater who slipped through the Ministry's justice net after the last war and has been able to live freely until now.

He believed in pureblood supremacy, and that was the main reason why he had followed Voldemort.

But years of freedom have worn away his loyalty.

"We can talk..."

Carrow struggled to find the right words: "I know the Dark Lord's secret. He is planning a secret plot, a plot against you and Dumbledore!"

Andy: "..."

Voldemort's defeat was not without reason.

Why does everyone seem to know about his secret plot?
