"It's Catherine. She was taken." Jason said from the other side of the line.

I almost jumped up from the bed the moment I heard those words, I didn't think everything was going to be happening that fast.

"The Alliance?" I said with an obvious expectation that the answer to my question was going to be yes.

"You have to hurry Lyla. We really need you now more than ever. With Catherine gone, we stand no chance at defending the remaining children in the Pack house." Jason said with his voice still shaky. I could feel that he was also speaking in a very low voice that was a little above a whisper.
