Kira: The rejected Luna

I blinked my eyes severally as the light hit my face, then I lifted my hands to provide shade against the bright lights that were up at different angles.

"Welcome." The voice said again making me to attempt looking towards the angle it came from as I struggled to deal with the effects of the light.

I managed to clear off the effects of the bright white lights from my eyes, then I turned immediately scouring the entire area in search of anyone, but I couldn't even see a shadow.

"Hello?" I called out as it was clear that someone was around but I couldn't see him, probably more than one person following the words I heard earlier on from the voice which sounded similar with the voice of the strange caller.

"That's good Lyla. Very good!" The voice responded from within. I could hear some echoes sounding at different angles whenever he spoke, this made it almost impossible for me to detect where the sound was coming from.
