Lucius focused his attention on the panel and frowned. They were currently flying over the Hudson River. Using boats was too risky due to the increased travel time, he didn't want to get caught in an aether weather storm.

Strange weather patterns, caused by the lingering aetheric energy of the meteor, made the crossing even more difficult, with sudden storms and flashes of lightning. 

Apparently, people have tried crossing with boats before, but they all failed. Doing the same thing was just suicide, and Lucius could be killed by drowning.

After traveling for another twenty minutes, the New Jersey shoreline was in view on the panels through the Aether-Hawk dash camera.
