Lucius heard that Nixara insisted on moving to South Korea with Ayaka after news of her failed attack got out. They speculated she must have left Japan to avoid dealing with Lucius when he woke.

When asked if she should be informed of his recovery, Lucius declined without hesitation. Now he had a reason to doubt her; he wouldn't lower his guards around her until he settled the issue.

They expected Lucius and Lyxor to stay and rest a bit since he only regained consciousness but he refused. Emperor Hidetaka tried to change his mind numerous times but they all failed.

Reality wailed as space twisted and turned before tearing open. From the spatial rift, two figures stepped out—Lucius and Lyxor.

It was the second floor of a dilapidated three-story building. An entire section of the wall had fallen off, giving them a good view of the apocalyptic city in which miners were forced to live.
