C6 AN OFFER FROM GAMORA

AN: I mean, not even 6 chs and someone already stole my work. I was like wtf? Mofo is posting it on a Russian rulate site. I already sent him a nice little mail. Now, let's see what he does.

[Office]

Later that day, I got an interview with the two guardians, Gamora and Nebula. Finally, I get to see them in real life, right out of the comic book pages! I wonder, how's it gonna go and what they are like? Will they have their strong will and confident personality in the book, or will they behave just like any ordinary beautiful lady in real life?

I reached the main lobby and walked toward the office. I stopped and knocked on the door.

"Please, do come in," responded a voice. It must be Gamora... My hand trembled as I placed my fingers on the handlebar. I am so fucking excited! I hope I can maintain my cool and won't fuck things up... Pushing down on the handlebar, the door slowly opened inward... There they were, sitting comfortably on their big red velvet sofa chair with a datapad lying on the glass table before them.

They were gorgeous, beautiful, hot, sexy, stunning and whatever synonym you could think of, that's how they looked in the flesh. Green Gamora and Blue Nebula are simply mind-blowingly attractive. Ok, enough praise... I gotta be careful, lest I might start salivating from my mouth.

I walked in, took a seat, and began the interview.

"So, you are Jack, the MVP of the tournament," Gamora spoke with a warm smile on her face.

"Yes, that's me," I replied with a cheeky grin on my face.

"Good job out there today," Nebula added. "That was some spectacular moves you pulled. Very impressive. It's not like every day you get to see a total noob destroy almost an entire team with just a sniper rifle. You must be feeling very proud of your achievement, right?"

I can sense a little hint of sarcasm coming from her words. Is she angry that our team won?

"Come on, Nebula," Gamora turned to her and then faced me, "You must excuse my sister. She is always like this, so competitive and hard on herself. You see, the opponent team is the one she trained, so, you can imagine how she feels when she sees her students losing."

"They lose because they were overconfident. I'm going to drill them harder in the upcoming training session. A price must be paid for slacking off and underestimating their opponents," Nebula said with a cold tone.

"Well, you are free to do what you want, but please don't take your anger out on our interviewee. I apologize for my sister's rude behavior, Jack. Let's start the interview."

I nodded at her.

"First question," Gamora asked me, "If you are this good, why hide your talent? If you were there with your class from the beginning, your team might have given a hard time to the other team."

"It's not that I wanted to hide my skills," I answered, "It's just that today's battle royale had credits involved as a prize, so I thought, 'why not?'. Other than that, I didn't see any need to reveal my skill to anyone. I prefer to stay low, just like how I did back in the classroom."

"I see," Gamora wrote down something on her datapad and asked me another question, "Next question. What do you think was the main reason that led to your team's victory?"

"Oh, no. Not team's victory. Other than me and Fiona, none of them even lifted a finger or tried to help when she was under crossfire. So, yeah. My and Fiona's victory. As for the reason, it's simply because we two were stronger than our opponent's entire team. Their strategy was a total joke as they were just hiding in one place and waiting for us to come. That's a pretty bad strategy if you ask me. But who am I to judge their level of intelligence anyway? After all, they are from Class-B..." I replied.

Nebula looked at me as if she wanted to shoot me dead on the spot. And Gamora just tried her best to hide her smile.

"I see," Gamora continued, "So, now comes the main part. We want to give you a chance to join the new Guardian team. As you already know, after Starlord retired and went back home, Rocket was the team Captain for some time, however, he went MIA three years ago along with Groot. Drax settled down with the clone kids we saved from the High Evolutionary's lab. Mantis went on a journey of her own. So, you can imagine our situation. Only, Nebula, Adam Warlock, Phyla, and I are the only members of the Guardians of the Galaxy left. And with the constant rise of threats, we are kinda spread thin... So, we would like to recruit and train new members who will become the second team of the Guardians of the Galaxy."

That's a huge surprise. I am now being offered to join the Guardians of the Galaxy! Wait! Rocket and Groot went MIA? That's new. I knew Mantis went on a self-discovery journey and Quill went back to Earth but never heard of Rocket and Groot's case before...

"So, what do you say? Are you interested?" Gamora asked as she looked at me.

Now, that is interesting. Another quest with five-part sub-quests and a special route. Training session with Gamora seems enticing, but so is the 20k credits. But considering, the reject sub-quest has five stages, then there must be more rewards waiting for me to grab. Yeah, I'm greedy for money because I want to live a good life and well, a harem... Ahem! Anyway, then there's this Special route without any explanations. Well, the choice is very simple. More stages, more rewards.

"Wow, wow, wow! Let me get this straight," I raised my hand at her and smiled cheekily, "Let's assume I've agreed. Then what is going to happen? Am I going to train under you or you?" I pointed both at them, "And what am I going to get out of it? Just curious."

"Ha, Ha. That's why I hate the kind of people like you," Nebula replied before her sister could respond, "What kind of question is that? We are offering you a great deal! Any sane person would jump into it without a second thought. But, judging by the way you answered the last questions, it looks to me like you are either a narcissist or someone whose main goal is money. And my first instinct always tells me right!"

"And?" I laughed in return, "Is that a big deal? What, you expect me to fawn and bow over you and worship the ground you walk like others? Heck no, lady. Forgive me for having common sense. I'll be risking my life out there without anything in return? Do I look like a sucker? You want my blind faith and unquestioning obedience? Not happening, sorry." I stood up and left the room.

Sub-quest[2/5]: Train and master the basic melee combat

Time Limit: 1 month

Rewards: 1x Passive Skill card

*****

Another notification popped up and told me to train for the basics of melee combat.

Melee combat, you say? Well, for a skill card, it's worth the risk, no? Also, there are three more chances to gain credits from the sub-mission besides there ain't a penalty for this quest, which is also great. Ok, that sealed the deal for me!

Without further delay, I quickly walked out of the headquarters.

Now, I know the right person to teach me about close-quarter combat.

[Classroom]

"What? You want me to teach you melee combat?" Fiona scratched her head and looked at me as if I were retarded.

"Yes. Remember the promise? The loser gets to follow one order of the winner?" I flashed her a smile, "As per that, I'm asking you to teach me. Well, not actually, I can just give you an order, but that's not cool and very unlike me, so yeah. Consider it a request."

"Aww, so thoughtful. And here I thought, you were going to ask me to suck your off or even worse. But, I guess, you are a good man. I apologize for thinking so low of you. And, of course, I'm going to teach you," Fiona happily clapped her hands, "But I have one condition."

"Oouch! Do I have that bad of a reputation?" I couldn't help but shake my head. Fuck! I did want to ask for something like that. But, no one said anything, no one heard anything, and no harm was done. Whatever little reputation I have is safe for now. "So, what's the condition?"

"During training, you have to follow my rules and every single detail I tell you without questioning them or complaining. Agree?"

"Uhmm, is that all? Well, then, it's a deal."

We shook hands to confirm and seal the deal.
