Reluctant at first

Four Years Ago

Alynah was being reluctant, she really doesn't want to attend any party but her friends kept pulling her towards the party.

"Look girl, we're done with college. Let's drink to our satisfaction!" That's Lyra, one of her friends trying so hard to convince Alynah.

"Yeah, let's celebrate this huge success!" Valerie added.

"You know how much I hate loud music and alcohols" Alynah rolled her eyes.

"You're not a grown up then. C'mon!" Valerie groaned.

Alynah kept complaining as they dragged her to the party, loud booming music, people cheering, drinking and dancing.

Alynah felt restless, stepping a foot into the party venue. She'd always been a pure hearted, holy and simple girl. A girl like her doesn't belong here.

"C'mon girl!" Valerie and Lyra dragged her to the bar.

"I'm definitely not drinking!" Alynah was quick to reject as the bartender poured a glass of wine for them.

"Come on! Have a taste! It tastes good"

"You won't love to miss it" her friends seemed enthusiastic about the whole stuff.

Alynah, though reluctant took a small sip from her glass and her face contorted in disgust.

"Is that what you call, a drink?"

"Come on! Your tongue will adjust to the taste. Have more" Lyra encouraged. Alynah gave her a long stare before gulping down a mouthful of wine. Her face contorted as she swallowed.

"That's my girl!" Valerie cheered.

"Drink more" Lyra filled her cup for he second time.

One drink led to another and Alynah found herself relaxing among her friends. She drank and laughed with them. As the night wore, Alynah couldn't count how many cups she drank, she also lost track of he friends as she danced.

She stumbled and bumped into a guy. She looked up with flushed cheeks and scattered mindset. She saw the guy gave her a charming smile and handed a drink to her.

Alynah smiled and took the drink from him. Her mind was clouded with the influence of the alcohol.

The night turned darker, filled with hazy memories, cheerful music and drinks.

The next day, Alynah woke up in a strange and unfamiliar bed. Her head was pounding so hard and her brain was in a fuzz. She gasped at realization hit her. She spent the night with a stranger.

Alynah tried so hard to recall his face but couldn't. Her brain wasn't processing. Her mind was hazy. She can't remember any conversation with him. She can't remember what is he like!

She didn't know when tears rolled down her cheeks. She'd always been so careful. But now, she'd let her guard down and made herself vulnerable just because of her recklessness. It was her fault, she shouldn't have agreed to follow her friends. Now, she'd caused this upon herself. What should she tell her family now?

What if she gets pregnant for some strange man? How'll she start searching for him?
