CHAPTER 5: THE TRIP

Amna sat in her history class, trying to focus on the lesson, but her mind kept wandering. She had been feeling restless lately, eager for a break from the routine of school and homework. Just as she was starting to nod off, the teacher, Mrs. Iram, interrupted the lesson.

"Class, I have an exciting announcement to make!" Mrs. Iram said, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

Amna's head snapped up, her attention piqued.

"As you know, our school has a tradition of organizing annual trips for the students. And this year, we have planned an amazing adventure for you all!"

The class erupted into murmurs and whispers, with students exchanging excited glances.

"Where are we going, Mrs. Iram?" Hamza, Amna's friend, asked, his eyes shining with anticipation.

Mrs. Khan paused for dramatic effect before revealing, "We are going to explore the ancient ruins of Mohenjo-Daro!"

The class burst into cheers and applause, with Amna joining in enthusiastically. She had always been fascinated by history and the thought of visiting one of the oldest civilizations in the world was thrilling.

Zara, her other friend, leaned over and whispered, "Can you believe it, Amna? We're going to walk among the ruins of a 4,500-year-old city!"

Amna grinned, her mind already racing with the possibilities. She couldn't wait to learn more about the trip and start preparing for the adventure of a lifetime.

As the lesson continued, Mrs. Iram shared more details about the trip, including the itinerary, accommodations, and activities planned. Amna listened intently, her excitement growing with each passing minute.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the class, and Amna gathered her belongings, already counting down the days until the trip. Little did she know, this adventure would bring unexpected challenges and surprises that would test her courage and friendship in ways she never imagined.
