CHAPTER 22: FIRST DAY

Amna stood outside the office building, her heart racing with excitement and nerves. Today was her first day of work, and she was determined to make a good impression.

She had graduated a few months ago, and after a rigorous interview process, she had landed a job at a prestigious marketing firm. She was thrilled to be starting her career, and she was ready to learn and grow.

As she walked into the office, she was greeted by a friendly receptionist who showed her to the marketing department. Amna's eyes widened as she took in the bustling office, the sound of keyboards clacking and phones ringing.

Her new boss, a warm and welcoming woman named Rachel, showed her to her desk and introduced her to the team. Amna was relieved to find that her colleagues were all friendly and welcoming, and they made her feel at ease.

As she settled into her new role, Amna couldn't help but think of Shahmeer. She wondered what he was doing now, if he had started his own business or was working somewhere. She hoped he was doing well, but she didn't have time to dwell on it - she had a job to do!

Throughout the day, Amna threw herself into her work, learning new skills and taking on tasks with enthusiasm. She was determined to prove herself, and she was excited to see where this new chapter in her life would take her.

As she left the office at the end of the day, Amna felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. She had survived her first day, and she couldn't wait to see what tomorrow would bring. Little did she know, her life was about to take a dramatic turn...

Amna walked into the office cafeteria, scanning the room for a familiar face. She had been looking forward to lunch all morning, and she was starving.

As she waited in line, she noticed a guy with a familiar smile and kind eyes. He was standing behind her, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu.

When it was her turn to order, Amna asked for a sandwich and a salad, and as she was about to pay, the guy behind her spoke up.

"Hey, Amna! Long time no see!" he said, his voice warm and friendly.

Amna turned to him, surprised. "Hamza! Oh my god, I haven't seen you since graduation!" she exclaimed.

Hamza laughed. "I know, it's been ages! I work in the IT department here. What about you?"

Amna smiled. "I'm in marketing. I started a few months ago."

They hugged, and Amna felt a sense of nostalgia wash over her. She and Hamza had been friends in school, and she had always liked him. He was kind, smart, and funny, and she was glad to see him again.

As they sat down to eat, Amna and Hamza caught up on each other's lives. They talked about their jobs, their families, and their dreams. She was glad to have a friend like him at work.

As they finished their lunch, Hamza grinned. "We should grab lunch again soon, and catch up some more."

Amna smiled, feeling happy. "Definitely. Let's do it soon."
