CHATER 24: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Amna's flashback lingered, haunting her. She couldn't shake off the feeling of regret and guilt for not being honest with Shahmeer about her past. She had been afraid of his reaction, but now she realized that her silence had only led to more pain and misunderstandings.

"Why didn't I tell him about my struggles after mom's passing?" Amna thought to herself, her mind racing with what-ifs and maybes. "Maybe things would be different now. Maybe we could have supported each other through tough times."

Amna's regret turned into determination. She knew she had to open up to Shahmeer, to let him know the truth about her past and her feelings. She couldn't bear the weight of her secrets any longer.

With a newfound resolve, Amna decided to confront Shahmeer once again. She would tell him everything, no matter the consequences. Little did she know, Shahmeer had secrets of his own, and their truth would change everything.

The next day as Amna arrived at the office, her boss called her into his office and gave her an unexpected assignment. "Amna, I need you to go to Shahmeer Enterprises and work with their team to complete the project," he said, his tone firm but urgent.

Amna's heart sank as she realized she would have to face Shahmeer again, but she knew she had no choice. She made her way to Shahmeer Enterprises, her mind racing with thoughts of how she would handle the situation.

As she arrived at the company, Shahmeer greeted her coolly and led her to the conference room. "Let's get started," he said, his tone brusque.

But as they began working on the project, Amna realized that Shahmeer was giving her an impossible amount of work to do. He was piling task after task onto her, making it clear that he didn't trust her or value her contributions.

Amna felt overwhelmed and frustrated, but she refused to give up. She worked tirelessly, determined to prove herself to Shahmeer and show him that she was capable of handling the project.

Amna stormed into Shahmeer's office, her anger and frustration boiling over. "Shahmeer, we need to talk," she said, her voice firm but shaking with emotion.

Shahmeer looked up from his desk, his expression calm and collected. "What's this about?" he asked, his tone neutral.

"You know exactly what this is about," Amna said, her eyes flashing with anger. "You've been giving me an impossible amount of work, and you're not even acknowledging my efforts. You're treating me like a slave."

Shahmeer raised an eyebrow, his expression unyielding. "You're being dramatic. I'm just trying to get the project done."

Amna's anger reached a boiling point. "Dramatic? You have no idea what it's like to be in my shoes. You're suffocating me with work, and you're not even giving me a chance to breathe. I'm out of here."

And with that, Amna turned and stormed out of the office, leaving Shahmeer looking taken aback. But as she reached the door, she heard him call out to her.

"Amna, wait!"

Amna didn't listen to Shahmeer's plea and continued storming out of the office. But as she reached the glass door, she failed to notice it was closed and bumped into it, falling to the ground.

Shahmeer's expression changed from concern to amusement, and he couldn't help but burst out laughing at the sight of Amna sprawled out on the floor.

Amna's face turned bright red with embarrassment and anger as she quickly scrambled to her feet. "Shahmeer, this is not funny!" she exclaimed, her voice stern but shaky.

Shahmeer tried to compose himself, but his chuckles persisted. "Oh, Amna, I'm sorry. I know it's not funny, but...well, you have to admit, it was a bit clumsy amna stand up and walked out of the office
