The room was cold and dark. Staring at the distance wasn't doing me any good, instead i twindle with my fingers.
Click
The door opens, adults in mask charged in, seemingly here to take me for the next test.
The same people who took me to my father the other day.
They weren't allowed to show their face for some reason, that didn't really bother me.
They stood by my side, urging me to get up from my seat with just their actions alone, i could understand without them speaking.
I walked out of the room to the long corridor, which was much colder than the previous space. The masked individuals followed me.
I was now in a room with a glass separating the room, with the other side having two chair and a table. There was also a ball point pen on the desk and some paper..
I was urged to go into the separated side to take a seat.
Seating on the chair wasn't comfortable, infact it wasn't made to be comfortable.
After a few minutes a few minutes of waiting a few more adults came. Most of them wore a mask like the others, while 3 of them came with their face revealed, 2 men and a woman. They wore a ash suit and a very stern look on their face.
They stood there watching through the glass.
A man with long hair and a subtle maniac look came in with handcuffs and a smug smile to compliment his already eccentric look.
He was directed to the room i was in to take a seat.
"...…." The silence was deafening
We didn't talk, but just steady breaths that could be heard.
" A kid….. you've gotta be joking"
He made the first sentence of the day.
" Is there a problem with me been a child ?"
With a taunting manner.
He leaned in a bit close with a gloomy scary eyes. " It just makes things easier for me, hahahaha" He laughed at nothing.
"Why are you here sir? "
" Why do you want to know?, you little brat"
" I believe been brought here is of utmost importance, that said i believe you're brought to me for a reason"
"hahahah…." he paused " I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell you"
" You see kid, i am here cause i killed several people "
He's a killer?
" Several? how many did you supposedly kill in exact?"
" To be honest, i lost count "
" Explain to me how you killed your victims and why"
His face grew even darker.
" Oh i don't have reason for it, i see my deeds as completely normal. I feel like people got me misunderstood you see"
" Misunderstood in the sense that you killed several people for no reason in particular."
"..."
" How old are your victims? i just need a age range "
" 13 or 15 but mostly 13"
" Is there a reason why you chose this specific age?"
He hesitated to answer.
Now i have him understood, it seems he left me clue very subtle he didn't notice.
I took the ballpoint pen and started drawing on the paper laid on the table, the man raised an eyebrow looking at me.
After finishing the drawing, i took the image and showed it to the man.
He flinched a little bit and his temples folded, his pupils dilated. All these happened in a second, but i caught all these quickly.
" What's this?"
"...…."
I took the paper back i drew on and scribble on it, i showed it to him again.
He started quaking and goosebumps could be seen on his skin.
" W-what is this?"
"You don't want to remember, do you?
" you're just as worse as her, you think that you're doing her justice?"
" No i just wanted... i wanted her to be happy but….."
" You're lying, if you haven't left her mother you could have made her the most happiest person in the world"
" No!!!!"
" No, you're wrong, you know nothing about the relationship i had with her"
" No i don't know... i was not going to ask neither was i curious. I just want you to admit it, that you were the reason for her misfortune, you made her life terrible cause of your incompetence, you were pressured to leave your family"
" It was my wife's fault!!!!! not mine"
" Yes it was your wife's fault that led you to kill your daughter, infact it was your fault that she abused her, leading you to kill her also"
" But i…."
" Now you're probably pushing the image of your daughter to your victims it's clear the reason you killed them was because you kidnapped them, that already is a crime, so they were killed by you too"
"...…"
His face was in dispair and disbelief he was confused.
He grabbed his hair tugging on it about to go insane.
It's funny how the human mind could break with a matter of the right words.
I took the ballpoint pen and drew his picture next to the other ones i drew as well.
"You could join them, you could make it right...…"
"….. You still have a chance"
I stretched my hands towards him, with the ballpoint pen my hand.
He took it and looked towards the ceiling.
" You have no other purpose here, your daughter won't be happy of your methods, the life you've taken, the sorrow you've caused to ither family….. she won't be happy at all"
He stretched his hands towards mine reluctantly and took the pen from me.
" Y-yes i can finally be free!!!"
" Yes….. you have no other goals here to fulfill"
"Yes, you're right "
I watched as he placed the pen at the corner of his head.
With that he put the ballpoint pen through his skull.
* Thud*
Blood splattered on the grey coloured floor.
The adults in masks stood there stiff, while the men had their eyes bulging out of their sockets the woman shook in fear.
" It is confirmed, the process in room 3 are very different from room 2"
" Yes, the room 3 is focused on teaching and training social skills, they are vey brilliant when it comes to information gathering"
The director confirmed his suspicion about the different training in the room. In total there are 5 rooms in the Nursery, each with it's own specific skills honed to the sharpest.
The room 3 is a room for social skills as stated by the director, while they extremely brilliant, they're most strongest areas are the terms of social interaction with others.
"It's insane how he deduce his reason for being brought here, even the detective agent where bamboozled on his skills"
One of the directors assistant spoke in awe.
" It was quite simple how he caught on to the man's reasoning"
" Really, i thought we didn't hand him credentials of the killer"
" Yes but think, what was the first thing he did when he asked those few questions?"
" He drew a picture of Woman and a Girl "
" Now why a woman and a daughter?"
" didn't the killer say they're his wife kr something"
The director rubbed his temples as he sighed.
" You're not bright are you?"
" Huh? what do you mean by that?"
" Don't worry I'll explain. So he came to the conclusion that the killer had a daughter cause, the killer told him the age range of his victims which was 13 to 15"
" Wait how is he so sure that the killer must've had a daughter? some serial killers go more down the age range, some taking the lives of children the age of 5"
" That is the most accurate way a normal person would think, but you should know by now that 44 is not normal."
The reason he came to such conclusions was because the killers victims are female, now notice how he said 13 to 15, that was a very huge clue. I was surprised he caught on to it"
" So you're saying the reason for that age range is because the killer must be obsessed with something like his daughter. Wait!! are saying cause the body types varies from age"
" You caught on. Yes, that's just how you put it, the killer was so obsessed with his daughter that he kidnapped and kills victims who are that age range and another thing is that they could be similar"
" I wasn't even thinking that far i'll be honest"
" Of course you aren't, which leads to another clue is that the killer killed his daughter which didn't make sense, so to pin it down, 44 made an assumption that the wife and the killer had misunderstandings which led to him leaving his family"
" But that doesn't explain why he killed his daughter"
" I wasn't done with the explanation, 44 also assumes that the daughter was being abused by the wife cause of her divorce with the killer, now we could narrow it down to one thing."
"Which is?"
" He knew about it and probably killed the wife, also abducting the girl, but the reason was because she didn't know about the mothers death and persisted that she meets her mother, cause the bond of a mother and child relationship is always there, so he killed her also"
" Which was why he is in regret, he single handedly ended the life of his family and his too"
" That's not what matters to me, it's how he deduced every scenario of the case, the victims, the motivation and possible outcomes. And he did this accurately."
The assistant was lost in words.
44 might be equal to 42 in terms of logical reasoning.
