Fishy
It has been over two hours since Lucas left to go wherever he did. I know he usually likes to go out at night but I feel like this is something else. He looked troubled when leaving like it was something super serious and urgent. Sometime ago Dawn had given me this thing that I can locate Lucas with since I don't have a crystal that I could use for the same purpose. She told me to use it to my liking but I don't think I ever have actually done so. Maybe now shall be the day that I do.
It was already dark outside making it really hard to see, the convenient rain didn't make things any better. Rain usually signifies a sad scene when it comes to movies. I wouldn't want to live in a movie or at least not in one of those that Dawn would watch. Ew.
The nature of the forest now surrounding me made it even harder to walk without stumbling. I hadn't anticipated this which is why it took me longer than expected. The fact that I had also misinterpreted how deep in the forest he was also made things more problematic.
My clothes were drenched in water from the rain as I finally managed to make my way to the destination. There I could make out the familiar figure of the blond I was looking for but instead of being all fine and dandy his body was completely lifeless, covered in fresh wounds and blood, one of his horns were broken and only half of his crystal remained.
I yelled for his name trying to get at least some reaction but to no avail. My throat started to ache as the realization hit me. Was Lucas dead? Is this it, the end of his life? My mind wouldn't answer these questions, neither did it let me think about them too deeply. My eyes got blurry from the tears now streaming down my cheeks. It was hard trying not to completely break down as the clump in my throat made it hard to breathe.
What should I do? Get help obviously but from where since somewhy there are no hospitals or anything similar on this island. Dawn, she can help, right? I mean she is a doctor after all. I called her hoping to get at least some help. She told me that she couldn't really say much unless she were to see it herself. I basically had to beg her to do so since I know if this was only about Lucas she wouldn't give a damn.
He promised. He promised to stay alive as long as I was too. If only I had known him for longer. If only I had befriended him the first time we met. If only I could go back in time and change the outcome of this.
While working like usual, I could make out the small noise of sniffling from the room next to me. If I can recall well the room's owner was named Lucas. I knocked on the door hoping for an answer but to no avail. I took the silence as a sign to enter the room. That was the day I actually got to know him. It must have been fate for it to be that day to be specific since it was also the day Lucas found out about his ex best friend losing their memory after an attempted murder that had damaged them enough for it to happen like that. From what I heard Lucas had also been blamed for the murder attempt.
It must have not taken Dawn long to arrive after I called her.
"This certainly doesn't look good", She noted while investigating the scene as if it wasn't obvious. "You know what happens after your crystal breaks… And for that to happen more than twice", she continued.
"Please tell me it doesn't mean what I think it does", I replied already knowing the answer
"Yep, he's dead", Dawn announced.
After a bit of silence I continued: "Do you really not care for the death of your own son?" I asked with a shaky voice.
"You wouldn't understand",
"He didn't deserve this!"
"Don't make things up when you haven't seen everything",
"And what does that mean?" I asked not sure if I was actually ready for such an answer
And thus she began explaining how Lucas ruined her life and is a disgrace to both A's and H's bloodlines and how he was supposed to become the next ruler of this world. She continued until something both of us forgot about happened. It turned 8pm.
"Eek! where am I?" A yelped questioning her presence in the forest. She looked around trying to analyse the situation. "What is he doing there?" she said pointing at Lucas
"He's dead", I mourned.
"I didn't know that dead people could breathe", She pointed out.
I looked over at Lucas's corpse only to notice she was correct. Could I possibly have been so blind to not notice it earlier. I doubt since Dawn would have surely noticed it. But how can he just suddenly come back alive. Either way I finally was able to calm myself down. Staying here for longer would definitely get me the flu which is why we went back home with Lucas still unconscious.
As I said before there were no doctors or anything like that here and if there was they would ask for a payment higher than what Dawn could ever afford. Neither me or A knew what to do with Lucas. If only Dawn was here. I doubt we could wait for her to come back either since that would probably take long enough for Lucas to die of blood loss or from some other cause such as infection. If only Dawn had taught me first aid before this. Well enough due to Dawn owning many books about similar things such as this, I was able to get at least some useful information out of them to help the broken boy.

After getting my business done, I finally was able to go home. But due to V, my brother, being home, I was immediately attacked. I didn't think he would have already found out about today's events but I mean this is a tiny island so it's only natural for rumors to spread around that quickly.
"Did you not listen to me at all?!" V attacked me
"I did, there just occurred to be a change of plans", I answered, shrugging the scene off as if it were nothing serious.
"And that's why you shouldn't have been chosen for this", He huffed in annoyance about a thing I didn't have influence on.
"Calm down, nothing bad happened to him", I tried sounding confident even though I was not completely sure about the end result of what happened to Lucas. It may be smart to go check up on him later.
