The peace of our times (part 1)

"My lord!"

The first voice to cut through the silence that followed Leo's demand… was quite familiar. And that, all on its own, proved that despite the unorthodox way of arriving at the scene, Leo still ended up right in the exact place where he wanted to be. 

"Bruno," Leo turned his eyes towards the direction the voice came from, only to see the very same officer that he cooperated with during the whole mess at the palace currently squeezing between his own men as he rushed to meet him. "Not a moment too soon!"

Bruno ran up to Leo as if he wanted to grab him in a bear hug… only to slow down right at the end of his approach and fall down to one knee. 

An act that, while in private, Leonidas wouldn't give two shits about while Bruno couldn't be bothered to perform. But right now the two of them weren't in private but out in everyone's view, forcing both of them to follow the proper protocol for a situation like this…
