The end of the dynasty

The battle of the fenced trenches as this day came to register in the historical annals was both the pivotal moment of the inner conflict of the humanae but also merely its opening. 

A pivotal point because it led to the unification front breaking the main force of the total war coalition… But also merely an opening, as it antagonized three dukedoms, pushing them for a closer alliance with the imperial crown of the kingdom. 

From this opening, the situation on the map started to clarify, with the lands directly attached to the mountain pass falling under the control of the unification front, an area that was then cut off from the rest of the aligned domains by the hegemon of the kingdom and the principalities that aligned with them. Only far to the south, beyond the kingdom's border, Leonidas' duchy stood defiantly with the unification front, along with the next four principalities that aligned with the unification efforts.
