The news about John Moore’s father being a murderer on the run has spread through the entire province and it kept on reflecting on John’s day-to-day activities which made a lot of his classmates reject him.
Regardless of the news, Kendra Farley who was also John’s classmate accepted and loved him for who is.

Fortunately for both, they were selected to represent their school in the quiz competition during their last year in high school and they emerged as the winner receiving many gifts and scholarship offers for their undergraduate studies.

Obviously, Alex was delighted to have John by his side. He could not think of a more suitable accomplice than John. 


While trekking, Alex engaged in numerous discussions with a bright smile and a joyful heart. He smirked the entire time, gesticulating and conversing with his best friend, exuding a positive energy. 


"Hold on, are we not ordering an Uber or taxi to take us to the place?" John asked, breaking off from their lengthy conversation because he had become lost in it. 


Apparently, John had no idea where Estefania and Lucia lived. Alex kept that from him as he was about to make it as a surprise knowing fully well that he would be marveled. 


“Uber?” Alex smirked, “There won't be a need for that. We are almost closer to our destination.” Alex assured him. 


With skepticism, John replied, "I am sure the word far might be relative. Can you give me an estimate of the total distance we will be trekking?" 


“There you go…” Alex pointed at a mansion some distance away.
