Guidance from the cat man

“Oh, I see. But, you don’t get along with your granddaughter. You’re always arguing. Why would she help you?” Ivan remarked, shaking his head at Myrtle.

“We can work something out. Rose told me about Mishka’s gift when I was complaining about her loud singing on the terrace.

Rose told me that, as a siren, Mishka might have certain powers that she was not yet aware of. So, in a certain sense, she might be taking after me. Who knows?” Myrtle commented.

“So, you’re going to try and get onto her good side, so that she can begin to confide in you. That’s a good strategy. It will look like family bonding,” Ivan commented as he paced up and down the nursery, occasionally sniffing at some freshly cut flowers in a bucket. Myrtle was planning to decorate the house with them in the morning.

“But, what if she refuses to cooperate?” Ivan asked with a thoughtful look in his eyes as he stopped his pacing abruptly.
