“Are you really committed to let Bruce go just like that? After all the years of passionately chasing after him and dreaming about a future with him?” Theresa, Jean’s blonde wolf friend asked as they sat in the lounge, at the home of Jean’s aunt, looking at the view through the windows.
“I had a moment of regret and so did Lucinda. I don’t know what made us so reckless because, by ruining Bruce’s mansion we were setting ourselves up as serious enemies. That’s surely not the way to get into anyone’s good books,” Jean responded with her mouth corners turned down miserably.
“It’s gonna take a while but when you’re finally done with restoring his mansion you might have a chance with him again. Why would you just give up? That’s not how I know you,” Theresa continued as she gave a speculative glance at her friend.
Jean sat quietly contemplating Theresa’s words for a while.
