Adam and Carlita had gone to a nightclub on their own, one night. It was situated on the ninth floor of a building which was not far from Joachim’s apartment building.
From the bar in the club one could look out through the window and admire the city lights below.
At some point during the dancing though, Adam was alarmed when he noticed that people were beginning to dance with live snakes around their necks.
Dancing with snakes seemed very irresponsible and highly dangerous to Adam, so he told Carlita that they should leave immediately.
“No calm down and relax,” she had pleaded with him. “It is very safe. The snakes are not poisonous.”
Carlita had proceeded to find a snake for herself as well and she showed Adam and a few other onlookers how confidently and gracefully she moved with the snake. She really handled it like a pet, as she danced with it.
