Jacqueline’s fears

“Maybe we should get out of here and go to a coffee shop where we can discuss this under more natural conditions.

The atmosphere here is a bit surreal, I must say,” Adam suggested, spreading his hands out as an invitation.

“That sounds like a good suggestion,” Sheridan agreed. She looked at Jacqueline for confirmation.

“Will a coffee shop be safe to discuss such a confidential subject?” Jacqueline asked as she looked up at Sheridan.

“I agree with Adam that being here can make you see things in a different way because the setting is a bit unusual.

We can find a spot in a coffee shop where we can talk in a private corner. I promise you that you won’t feel so overwhelmed there,” Sheridan explained to Jacqueline with a steady smile on her face.

Jacqueline then got up from the couch slowly.

“As long as I can get some kind of peace about the situation before I go to bed. Let’s go then,” she responded.
