Adam studied Sheridan’s face as she spoke.
“Well, it would be very interesting if you did know her. But, people like you are bound to run into each other at some point in life, isn’t it,” he said with a shrug.
“Why do you think that? Are you thinking that we’re like aliens who come from the same planet?” Sheridan responded. She giggled in amusement.
“Sort of because you must be able to sense each other’s thoughts and presence, isn’t that so?” Adam asked.
“We sense needs. That’s what I know. Not necessarily the needs of fellow psychics. Just anyone in need,” Sheridan responded.
“That’s really cool. It means that when I have a need I should always hope that there’s someone out there that can sense that need,” Adam responded with a pensive frown on his brow.
“But then, there are also wicked people out there who can sense your need and vulnerability,” Sheridan responded in a serious tone of voice.
