CHAPTER 1:- Unexpected Appearance

"When the storm rages, be the lighthouse that refuses to dim." A young boy wakes up from his bed sweating hard and tears come from his eyes as he looks at himself in the mirror. He moved his hands to his cheeks to wipe his tears. "Who is that person that often comes to my dreams, why do I cry when I try to remember that person, why can't I find the answers." He asked himself frustrated while standing in front of his mirror. A boy who seems to be in his mid-teens and living alone in his apartment frequently seems to ponder these questions. "It's that damn dream with that same person again. I can't seem to catch a break." Everything starts from a point where everything will eventually fall within. The young boy with his distinctive features of dark emerald eyes that make him unique is now trying not to think about it. It is a day that starts like every other with some normal routine that the young boy follows when he gets up every morning. He gets ready putting on his uniform for the school. On his way to school, he encountered an old lady in her late 70s struggling to pick up her groceries. Out of his inner conscience and goodwill, he helped the lady pick up the groceries and carried them to her house which was not so big but not so small and was very close to the shop from where she was buying her groceries. While helping her, the lady showered him with compliments yet he remained unmoved by it with little to no reaction and thanked her for complimenting him. As a token of gratitude, the old lady gave him a pendant and told him to keep it despite his initial reluctance to accept it the boy had to take it due to the consistent insistence from the old lady. As the boy was leaving her modest home the old lady remarked "You are so mature despite your age." as her parting words, to which I smiled looking back at her, and continued my journey of going to my school. "The old lady was kind and I am happy that I could help her but it was just out of goodwill as no one was helping her despite many passer-byes passing by her. I have to hurry up, I am already running out of time or else I have to listen to my teacher's nagging again. I'm curious as to why the elderly woman handed me that pendant; she might have simply bestowed her blessings, but she insisted on taking it with me. A muscular hand wrapped around the young boy's shoulder as his thoughts were racing, giving him the impression that they were brothers who had fought many battles together. "You are late again huh?" sighing the boy asked me. To which I replied I am not late yet there are 10 minutes left. "Instead of asking me whether I am late or not should you not be worrying if you are late Tairo ?", to which Tairo replied sheepishly "This has become a daily routine of mine to be late and walk together with you to the school.", to which I rolled my eyes helplessly. "Whatever just hurry up or else.....", just as I was going to complete my sentence a big explosion near happened, and the shockwaves produced by the explosion threw us a couple of meters away. My head feeling dizzy yet not unconscious looked to my side where my friend Tairo was unconscious with a bleeding head. I panicked and started going to his aid ignoring every bit of pain my body was suffering."Hey!!! Tairo!!! wake up just don't close your eyes I will get you out of here as soon as possible to the hospital, just don't close your eyes.", I said softly crying yet my words carrying weight on its own, I took my handkerchief from my pocket and wrapped around the bleeding portion to stop the bleeding.

After 5 minutes I began to observe our surroundings which were nothing but pure destruction with shattered grounds, crushed houses, and most importantly a portal that seemed like a door but with no door and just a space with a mixture of green and black color. My eyes widened with a thought flashing in my memory "Not again not again it can't be..", as I was spacing out Tairo's touch on my hand made me back to reality snapping my thoughts. I looked back at him with a relief on my face seeing him conscious "You had me there for a second." I said while supporting him standing up. He looked at the void and said with concern "So it has appeared but why here? I thought this was a safe space but a void came out of nowhere, no wonder that felt like an explosion.". I looked at him and said, "Let's get you to the hospital first and then we can report this to the officials about the void.", he agreed and we went on our way to the hospital and got Tairo treated. The appearance of Void out of nowhere in a safe space made the headlines very quickly which saved us some hassle of going to the officials and reporting it. It was already evening when Tairo got discharged from the hospital and I made sure he reached his home safely by dropping him at his home. After dropping him at his home I began to walk toward my rental apartment. The roads were very dark with little light and I suddenly stopped in between the tracks. Without turning backward a gaze from the corner of my eyes glanced at a corner of an alley and I asked curiously "It was you who came out from that Void right??", after a few seconds of silence a creature walked out of the dark alley with a smile, his appearance resembling humans yet his skin very white with a pointed ears. "For a human, you are very perceptive, may I know when you found out about me??" the creature asked with a smile. I replied "For a hot climate it was very chill when I was bandaging my friend's head to prevent any blood loss. I didn't want to put my friend's life in danger and from your presence it was not hostile. So, I figured at that time and now I encountered you again, may I know why you are here ICE ELF.", I asked now confronting him viewing his white skin and pointed ear features and resemblance with humans. "Ke ke ke ke ke" the creature laughed and said, "My name is Vaelith, an ice elf as you have presumed before and I am from Eryndralis.", to which I replied with a simple hm and began to walk to my home. Before I began to walk to my home Vaelith asked, "Isn't that rude to introduce yourself after someone introduces himself.", sensing no hostility from him and with a personality that describes him as a perfect battle maniac I said, "You are right I was rude but as for my name I go by Svarbhan."
