Indeed, there were clothes!
Maxwell had now noticed that the chests appearing in the cells designated for exclusive zombies clearly contained better items than those from regular zombie chests, including unique weapons and garments.
His space was now Level 6, with three exclusive cells, but Maxwell didn't want to just casually give those away. Male zombies, well, they were just meant for labor.
There were still two chests left, received during the previous upgrade, which Maxwell also opened directly.
The upgrade chests mainly dropped gene points and ability points.
After opening these two chests, Maxwell received a total of 35 gene points and 20 ability points.
Adding these attributes made Maxwell feel for a moment as though he could shatter the sky with one punch.
With so many attribute points, he felt his physical strength had advanced several levels.
The rapid surge in strength gave Maxwell the illusion that he was the strongest man in the world.
His skin tightened noticeably, continuously tightening until it finally stopped after nearly half a day and returned to normal.
His bones made crisp cracking sounds.
His vision also received unprecedented enhancement; Maxwell could now see tiny ants from dozens of meters away!
With a light leap, he could now jump at least ten meters high, a frightening increase in jumping ability!
And his running speed had significantly increased as well.
Maxwell stood in front of a tree and swung a punch lightly; the tree snapped in response, yet his fist felt no pain whatsoever.
"I wonder what level I am now?"
With the boost from the attribute points, Maxwell's body had become incredibly formidable!
As for his abilities, he did have one, and it was quite advanced: rapid healing.
Although this is a passive skill that automatically starts when the body is injured, it is Maxwell's ability to rapidly recover from injuries.
However, Maxwell isn't too clear about the definitions of abilities on Earth, meaning he isn't sure if he is an Awakener or an Evolver.
But that doesn't really matter; whether he's an Awakener, an Evolver, or a Genetic Warrior, these are just titles. Ultimately, it all comes down to strength.
He has only been in this world for a short time, not long enough to fully understand it, especially the world of Evolvers.
In this base city, with only a population of about a hundred thousand, it could be considered one of the weakest base cities in this world, without even a single Evolver.
This means Maxwell hasn't really stepped into the world of Evolvers yet.
"Ah, right now, it's more important to focus on my development! Getting caught up in unnecessary things is just a distraction!" Maxwell muttered to himself.
Then, he eliminated the first-tier zombies, having prioritized opening chests before.
He had six first-tier male zombies, which could be Fused into three second-tier male zombies. Then, by Fusing two of those together, Maxwell now had three third-tier male zombies!
Maxwell pondered for a moment, not paying much attention to these few zombies, and casually Fused a new fourth-tier male zombie.
So, Maxwell now had one fourth-tier male zombie, one third-tier male zombie, and one second-tier male zombie.
These would all be his future labor force!
Then, it was the female zombies' turn. He had four first-tier female zombies, and he then Fused two second-tier female zombies. Maxwell directly moved one of them into the exclusive cell where Eva was, upgrading Eva to third-tier.
Now, Maxwell's third-tier female zombies included both Eva and Carline. In addition, he still had one second-tier female zombie.
Maxwell was just thinking of calling Eva out to see if any changes had occurred with her latest upgrade when suddenly, a rumbling sound came from the sky! It was the sound of a helicopter!
In this era, research technology was focused on Evolvers, and most conventional technologies had been shelved; helicopters were particularly rare.
Diego base city had just one helicopter, which was rarely used due to the scarcity of oil.
Moreover, for some powerful Evolvers, they had their own modes of transport which were much more efficient than helicopters, although Maxwell had yet to see one.
Seeing this big guy, Maxwell decided not to call out Eva and the others.
He kept his head raised, watching the helicopter in the sky.
Unexpectedly, the helicopter headed straight for him, clearly having spotted him.
Maxwell couldn't help but frown. He had seen the helicopter from Diego base city, and this one clearly didn't belong there!
"Could it be another force? Perhaps another base city?"
Maxwell thought it quite possible. He had followed the zombie horde here, traveling several hundred kilometers from Diego base city. At such a distance, it was plausible that he had entered the territory of another base city.
In the wilderness, the most dangerous threats were not zombies, but rather people.
So, seeing the helicopter approaching him, Maxwell raised his guard.
With his current strength and physical condition, he was extremely powerful, and even if the helicopter had weapons, they wouldn't easily hit him.
In this world, firearms were not generally used against Evolvers, as they were unlikely to cause substantial harm to them.
Quickly, the helicopter flew to the clearing in front of Maxwell and landed smoothly.
Several people jumped down from it.
"So young!" Maxwell remarked as he got a clear look at them.
The group consisted of both men and women, but they all shared one common characteristic: they were quite young.
It wasn't just Maxwell; they, too, had a full measure of caution in their eyes.
After all, this was the wilderness, and Maxwell was alone, having ventured deep into the wild by himself, which itself looked unusual. Moreover, despite seeing them, Maxwell hadn't made any significant movements and remained calm and composed, making him seem even more enigmatic.
Thus, although they didn't sense the aura of their own kind on Maxwell, this only made them find him more mysterious and unpredictable.
"Hello, we are students from Supreme Hall. May I ask, is there a castle around here?"
A young man, who looked to be under twenty, asked. His tone was very polite, even respectful.
"Supreme Hall?" Maxwell's expression shifted slightly.
